Prateeksha Lonkar to join the Diya Aur Baati Hum family

We wrote exclusively about the new-age romance kick-starting in Star Plus’ popular show, Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions) with the introduction of actors Kunal Khosla and Prachi Tehlan.

Now, we hear of another promising new entry that will further spice up the track ahead..

Seasoned actor Prateeksha Lonkar who is presently seen in Colors’ Thapki Pyar Ki has been finalized to play a prime role.

As per reliable sources, “She will play ‘chachi’ to Arzoo, the new girl Prachi Tehlan. She will be a negative character, and will add a lot to the drama quotient.”

When contacted, Prateeksha confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I am entering Diya Aur Baati Hum. All I will want to say at the moment is that I will be playing an interesting character, and will be part of the new family being introduced.”

We hear that Kunal and Prachi will be shooting for their promo today.
