Scene 1
Kaurwaki is meeting with people and they are all praising her. Kaurwaki blesses newborn children and they all pray that she gets a loving king. Kaurwaki says I am happy here. Her friend asks if she imagined her king? does she want a king who will rule the world? Kaurwaki says I want a king who will rule people’s hearts. Her uncle is angry seeing people praising her. He tells his wife that Bindusar’s son is killing our soldiers. His assistant makes him meet Padmanabhan who tells him that I am here to protect our Kaling, we have lost our resources so we have to combine our resources to fight with Bindusar’s army. I think we need to call all princes for Devsukh’s princess Devika, if we get them on our side then he will give us his wealth to fight. Kaurwaki’s uncle says you want her to marry my son? Padmanabhan says anything can happen in Sawamvar, we have to take revenge from Bindusar. We will make your son win Sawamvar as I have a plan.
Ashok is sleeping when Dharma comes to him sadly with medicine. She recalls blaming him. Ashok wakes up and says I am fine. Dharma says we will go far away from your father and the palace. Ashok says we can’t run away from our pain, we are not going anywhere. He hugs her and says I will get everything back that you lost one day.
A soldier comes to Ashok but leave without saying anything. Ashok tells his friend that they came here with some plan, he starts going behind them. Dharma says you will be disappointed on this path, Ashok says I don’t care.
Bindusar gets to know about Devika’s sawamvar. Sushim says no one is more capable than me, I am sure all girls want to marry me. Ashok hides and hears him too. Sushim tells Bindusar that I am sure Devika wants to marry me also. Helena tells Dayana that he is too confident. Bindusar tells Sushim that I am worried. Sushim says I want to go there for sawamvar. Bindusar says okay, go and win but if we lose this sawamvar then it will be trouble for us. He asks Chanakya about his thoughts but he silently leaves. Sushim says let him leave, he is old already. Bindusar says he looked worried, he tells Sushim that whoever wins this sawamvar can ask me for any wish. Sushim nods and leaves. Ashok tells his friend that let Sushim go and get married.
Scene 2
Kaurwaki is getting ready for Devika’s sawamvar, her aunt tells her that we can’t spend too much on your new clothes so you will have to wear old clothes only. Dai Maa says why don’t you send your son in old clothes then? Kaurwaki says its okay, I will wear old clothes only, she leaves. Dai Maa asks her aunt to show diamond necklace to Kaurwaki that she made, the aunt tells her to shut up.
Sushim is practising sword fighting and says I will win in his sawamvar, his friend praises Ashok so Sushim gets angry. Ashok comes there and smirks. Dayana comes there and tells Sushim that we have made new clothes for all 3 brothers. Ashok is angry hearing that. Sushim tells Ashok that you won’t get new clothes like us so I pity you. You don’t even have your father’s love.
Sushim and others are leaving for sawamvar. Bindusar tells Sushim that he has to win at any cost. He asks if Ashok is going with them? Sushim says I invited him but he didn’t agree. Bindusar prays for Sushim’s success and he leaves.
Ashok comes to Chanakya and he tells him that I have doubts about this sawamvar, I know Sushim won’t listen to you but this might be a scheme from our enemies. Ashok says don’t worry, I am going to stop any scheme, Chanakya asks how? Ashok says I can’t tell you as I want to hide my scheme too. Chanakya laughs.
Ashok is getting ready to leave. The voiceover says Kaurwaki and Ashok were different but they are going to meet in someone else’s sawamvar to start their great love story.
