Scene 1
Sushim tells friends that he is going to enjoy some girls tonight. Subhandhu comes there and says Sushim’s friends with go with Ashok on the war so he won’t come back alive. Sushim smirks.
Ashok’s friend asks Ashok if he really will make Bindusar’s portrait when he has never seen him once? Ashok is carving Bindusar’s portrait on a big stone and asks his friend if he saw Bindusar? He says no because I am your friend and if you can’t see him then I won’t also. You can ask your mother if your portrait is close to reality or not. Ashok says Maa wants to see how much I know my father without ever seeing him. His friend says you must miss him a lot. Ashok says its good that I never got my father’s love because love makes people weak and cowards which I am not.
Dharma is preparing her house and says if Ashok succeeds today then Bindusar will come here today. Dai Maa comes there and wishes her birthday. Dharma says I am sure Ashok will fulfill my promise. He says he doesn’t believe in love but I know he will fall in love one day.
Kaurwaki sees a kid falling from the roof and hanging there. She asks soldiers to save the kid but they say its very difficult, we can’t do anything. Kaurwaki jumps the roof and tries to save the kid by hanging from the window. She pulls the kid up and saves his life.
Ashok and his friend are going for the mission, Sushim’s friends come there and say Bindusar sent them to protect Ashok. Ashok says I don’t think so. The enemies attack them but Ashok isn’t worried, he starts attacking them while eating an apple. The voiceover says bloodshed to make people from the same blood closer.
Kaurwaki’s uncle tells her that she did great by saving the kid but he did a sin by putting the princess in danger so he will be punished. He asks the soldier to cut his hands. Kaurwaki is shocked.
Ashok is running behind the enemy soldiers and enters a house, he is about to kill the soldier but his kid comes in front of him and begs him to not kill his father. The soldier says don’t hurt my kid please. Ashok is angry seeing their love and shouts that love is the most useless thing in life, if I ever see you around here then I won’t spare you. Sushim’s soldiers try to attack Ashok but the kid shouts at him to move so Ashok moves away and grabs them. He tells the kid that your father is ready to die for you and otherside my father sent these people to get me killed. He kills Sushim’s friend and asks the other one why? He is scared and says we came here to kill you. Ashok says tell this in front of Bindusar and the ministry.
Scene 2
Kaurwaki’s uncle is about to cut the kid’s hands. Kaurwaki says it was my fault to save him so don’t punish him. He says this kid did a sin by putting you in danger so we have to punish him. Kaurwaki says the other rule says that either this kid gets punished or I cut my hair so I am going to cut my hair.
Ashok tells his friend that love is useless. His friend says you let that father and kid go because of love only. Ashok says they were ready to die for each other, love makes people weak.
Kaurwaki is about to cut her hair, her Dai says your beauty is your identity and beauty. Kaurwaki says my beauty is sacrificing for my people. I am doing this for people who don’t have love. She cuts her hair in half. All are shocked. The kid is freed and all people praise Kaurwaki while her uncle is angry. Dai Maa says who will marry you in this avatar? She says I want my life partner to love me for my heart and not my looks.
Bindusar tells Dayana that he is failing as a king, I thought my son from Dharma would be a great Samrat but Chanakya’s prediction made me stay away from him so I sent him on a dangerous mission, I just wish he would come back safe as he is my son after all. Dayana is angry hearing that.
Subhandhu tells Dayana that Ashok killed one of Sushim’s friends and he is bringing the other back to tell the truth to Bindusar. Sushim comes there and says father won’t give him time, he doesn’t even look at his face. Dayana says he still cares for him.
Ashok brings Sushim’s friend back in the palace and says I will tell Bindusar that he tried to kill me. Subhandhu says he can’t see your face, I will take his traitor to Bindusar. He presents him to Bindusar while Ashok stands behind a curtain. Subhandhu tells Bindusar that Ashok came back with this man and says he tried to kill him. The man cries and tells Bindusar that he went with Ashok to protect him, Ashok fought well but then he attacked me and killed my partner. Sushim says he killed my soldier? The man says Bindusar wants to kill Bindusar and become king too. Ashok is shocked and says enough.. you are a liar and I will stop you right here. He takes out his dagger and throws at him so the man dies in front of everyone. Bindusar is angry. Sushim tells his soldiers to arrest Ashok and throw him out the palace. Bindusar tells Ashok that his greed to takeover the throne by killing his own father is going to destroy him.. your mother is waiting for me right? tell her to keep waiting but I won’t be coming back ever to see her. Ashok is hurt hearing that and tries to beg him but Bindusar left already. Subhandhu tells Ashok that he trusted a common soldier over you so get lost.
Dharma is waiting for Bindusar and gets sad when he doesn’t come. She starts taking off the decorations. Ashok comes there sadly. Dharma shouts that you want to kill your father to get the throne? why are you doing this? she cries and says I thought you would bring happiness in my life but you took away everything from me as soon as you were born, your father left me and I kept waiting for him for life.. you are responsible for all my pain and loss. Ashok is sad hearing that.
Kaurwaki’s uncle shows Kaurwaki’s kundli to a priest and asks him what does her future hold? Dai Maa comes there too. The priest says her kundli says she is going to marry a great and brave king, she is going to change the world by ending violence with her love. Kaurwaki will have to go through a lot but her sacrifices are going to bring peace in the world. Her love is going to change a heart filled with hatred.
Ashok is sitting sadly, his friend tries to console him but Ashok says Maa reminded me today that I am all alone in this world. Nobody loves me and I won’t be able to love anyone. His friend says one day someone will fill your life with love.
