Pooran Kiri’s entry to spice up the drama in Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Star Plus’ long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Director’s Kut) will soon see some new drama with the introduction of Devyani’s (Kshitee Jog) first husband, in actor Pooran Kiri.

Pooran was recently seen essaying the role of Madhasur in Life OK’s Katha Mahadev Putra Bal Ganesh Ki. He has also been part of various shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum, Big Magic’s Hum Hai Bajrangi, Savdhan India to name a few. The man who has done quite a number of South films has Satya 2 and Hate Story 2 in Bollywood to his credit.

In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the story telling would spice up very soon with the man’s entry. As we know, Devyani who is the new mother-in-law of Akshara (Hina Khan) was earlier wed to a person and has two grown-up kids from her first marriage.

A source tells us that Pooran will essay a negative-shaded character, who will get back in Devyani’s life to create chaos. He will be shown as a rich guy.

When contacted, Pooran confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I will be playing the first husband of Devyani. However, I cannot speak much on the track and role as I have not started shoot yet.”
