Playing Lakshmi again would have been dull: Shraddha Arya

Actress Shraddha Arya, who is back on the small screen with her latest show Dream Girl (Shashi Sumeet Productions), will be seen essaying the role of Ayesha, an actress in the daily.

Second installment of the Life OK show Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, Dream Girl will be based on Lakshmi’s (Nikita Dutta) life, who will be seen idolizing Ayesha aka Shraddha.

Shraddha, who played the titular role in the first installment, feels that portraying the character of Ayesha is much more interesting than playing Lakshmi. “Lakshmi is more or less modeled on my earlier character, so playing it all over again would have not been so much fun. This role is much more challenging!”

“Definitely after playing a lead, opting for this role is a bit risky, but I am enjoying this. Moreover, this role is an experimental one”, added the pretty lady.

Speaking about her character, Shraddha commented, “Well I am essaying the character of a superstar, who has many shades to her character. She considers herself to be superior than anyone else, and is obsessed with whatever she has achieved,” she said.

The actress also mentioned that for her this serial is like a homecoming, as her previous shows were with the same channel and same production house. And Shraddha believes that her stay with the same production house reflects the faith of the makers in her good work.
