People take Raavan as a villain, I look up to him as a fighter: Aarya Babbar
Aarya Babbar, the talented actor who dons the role of Raavan on Sony Entertainment Television’s Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan, is happy with the fame and recognition coming his way.
Understandably, the former Bollywood actor is doing a lot of homework to understand the mythological King. While chatting with us, the actor spilled the beans on his titular role…
“Raavan was a warrior. I have always been fascinated by the character of Raavan. He was a fighter and he never gave up easily. I believe he is the most colorful character in mythology. Though people think of him as a villain, I look up to him as a fighter,” Aarya said.
What’s that one characteristic of Raavan that you have? “HAHAHA… Well, it’s his laughter. It is coincidental or what, I don’t know… but my laughter is like that of Raavan’s,” he said.
How much time do you take to don the look of Raavan? “It’s hectic to wear those heavy jewelry and headgear every day. It takes me an hour to get ready,” added the actor.
We asked Aarya what he would do if he had ten heads like Raavan, he shared, “Well, that would be great as I can manage everything at the same time. I can go for shoots, travel to different places, and take my girlfriend out somewhere too.”
As you are playing Raavan, a negative character, do you receive hate mails from fans? “No, I have mails, where fans have appreciated me for my performance. More than males, I have female fan following. It is surprising because Raavan was not a hit with the ladies,” signed off Aarya.
Wish you great luck Aarya!!
