Pavitra Rishta gets the axe
After a lot of extension, Balaji Telefilms’ popular show Pavitra Rishta has finally got the axe.
Yes, as per media reports the Zee TV soap is all set to go off air next month.
The show started in 2009 with Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande setting the mood right for a love story of a middle class couple who had to fight all odds to keep their love strong.
With Bollywood knocking on Sushant’s door, he quit the show leaving his real life love to romance Hiten Tejwani, who stepped on his shoes.
Soon, other popular faces namely Rithvik Dhanjani, Asha Negi, Shakti Arora joined the cast and the serial continued to rock the charts.
But later with many actors opting out and the plot resorting to multiple leaps to keep audience engaged, the steam finally fizzled out and Pavitra Rishta is all set to end now.

September 13, 21:05Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, Jah Iere, cannot come up with more praises just yet, THIS CRAP IS FINALLY ENDING leaving room for something better, hate to see Ankita on my tv screen now, they should have ended the show on a high long time ago or come up with better story line if they wanted it to run for so long. I got so fed up of this rona dona Ankita that I want to reach into the tv and smack her silly.

I too didn’t like it after Arjun-Purvi left. But then if u dislike something, you don’t have to say bad about it!!

after purvi-arjun married they should have ended the damn show
instead ovi got pregnant and the drama repeated
they should have ended with
1) soham becoming educated responsible and meeting a new love
2) ovi should have gotten married to another businessman or someone who made her genuinely happy
3) purvi-arjun welcoming their new son
4) sachin-gauri to move out and start fresh somewhere
5)Teju meeting some awesome guy and travelling the world
6) manjusha and her evil daughter and son-in-law to suffer begging on the road

Thanks for a lovely start guys, i must say my Hindi knowledge increased because of zee tv serials ( thanks to their subtitles) and one of my first was pavithra rishta… Loved it when it started, loved it upto the point manav & Archana rejoined after their 18 yrs apart… That was when this show should’ve ended… But thanks for the good times guys & all the best to all the artists & techs in the team… Wish you guys all the best for your future projects…
