Pranati stumbles due to high heels but Reyansh holds her. Why do you girls wear heels when you cannot handle it? This is the typical filmy formula. She tells him she does not want him to hold her. He taunts her back. Hold my hand and enter in the party with me. She refuses. It is their college reunion party. Pranati gets tensed but Reyansh tells her to stay calm. Everyone questions Reyansh and Pranati on choosing each other. He notices Mallika in the background and starts his emotional drama. He holds Pranati and gestures her to look in Mallika’s direction. Mallika and her fiancé exchange pleasantries with Reyansh. Pranati goes aside to attend Archit’s call.
Archit is drunk. Archit tries to speak to her but she tells him she will speak to him later and ends the call. She recalls how rude she was to Archit when she tried to break the engagement. He tells her not to act all great. Reyansh is your past but I am your future. Pranati says I just cannot get over my past. Reyansh is my first love just like I am your first love. I cannot let go of this chance. I cannot do this anymore. She returns the ring to him. Flashback ends.
Sameer excuses himself for a minute. Mallika tries to get close to Reyansh but he tells her that he cheated on her even when they were together. She isn’t bothered. This is in your nature.
Pranati keeps receiving Archit’s calls but disconnects every call. Reyansh and Pranati collide again. They both start bickering for no reason. Host invites everyone on the stage to relive their memories. Pranati is asked to start. Pranati says every college has a story of a boy and a girl. This is where I first fell in love. I loved him unconditionally even after knowing that it was just a passing phase. Some stories are very beautiful initially but then! Reyansh takes the mike. They take different serious turn like ours did. That time was such where someone was compelled for thing while someone was willing to do it. Now I cannot live without Prani and our daughter. A beginning can be wavy but it should end on a good note. They are requested to dance together. Hum Tum song plays in the background. Pranati realises that this is their old song. They dance together. Their past memories flash in the background. Reyansh asks Pranati if his touch has rekindled the hidden emotions inside her. She says I am disgusted by your touch. Can we go home now? He tells her to stay for a little longer. She reminds him that Jugnu’s admission is tomorrow. He nods.
Dadi and Jugnu discuss about the school interview. Dadi is also against the idea of going to school. I held book only once, that too to keep it over my head. I will still not a straight kid. my MIL used to be very mean when I kept a knife around her neck. She dint say anything to me since that day. Jugnu keeps a knife around Dadi’s neck. Now I know why I am this! She manages to run out of the room avoiding Dadi and Kesar.
Reyansh receives Mallika’s video call. He sits close to Pranati as he attends the call. Mallika disconnects the call in a second. He tells Pranati to have a deal with him. She calls him and Dadi same. They notice Archit’s incoming call. Reyansh asks her why she has been ignoring Archit’s call. She tells him it is none of his business. Reyansh attends Archit’s call while Pranati stands next to him. Archit is all the more hurt. He ends the call. Reyansh tells Pranati he helped her but she says you hurt him by attending this call. He reasons that Archit was already hurt when she broke the wedding. Pranati says I dint want him to wait. Reyansh is confused. Don’t you love him? She says we wait for someone when there is a hope for return. Reyansh asks her if she does not love anyone. Pranati replies that she only loves her daughter right now. She is my responsibility and top priority. Reyansh says I know you left Archit because you care for him. We often leave people behind because we don’t want to hurt them by staying together. He covers up for his weak moment by saying that people say or do this. I wont be able to do this for anyone. He leaves.
Pranati caresses Jugnu’s hand and kisses her forehead while she is asleep. Jugnu wakes up with a start. You can beat me if you want but this motherly affection is unbearable to me. Don’t act all Mother India with me. Pranati nods. Jugnu lies down again.
Reyansh’s brother is helping his wife Anisha get ready. He is sending her to meet someone. Cook up and excuse if the guy asks about me. She replies that the guy wont even ask and leaves. Pranati collides with Anisha on her way out. I am sorry. Can I help you? Anisha tells her that relations in this house are fake. Everyone comes together only for a family photo. Pranati says I dint think you were fine so I asked. I have no intention to be the DIL of this family. Anisha advises her to stay away or she will meet the same fate like Reyansh’s mother. Pranati says I know it’s really sad that she left. Anisha laughs. You fell for it? I will meet you once or twice in a day so my mood changes for good. Pranati repeats what she has heard. Anisha laughs more. Too many secrets are hiding in every corner here. You will break the house if you will try to find one. It is better to stay quiet. Pranati gets intrigued.
Precap: Kesar tells Pranati that she reminded her of Reyansh’s mother. She used to pacify Reyansh in a similar manner just to make sure he will eat. She goes quiet mid sentence. Later, Jugnu asks Reyansh if his mother was also boring and Hitler type like Pranati. Reyansh feels hurt when Pranati tries to talk to him about his mother. He talks rudely to Pranati in return. Pranati wonders what actually happened with his mother.
