Parichay 18th July 2012 Written Update

Episode starts with Siddhi visiting Kunal in jail (it’s funny that last Wednesday the epi had started with Veena visiting Kunal in jail, seems like Wednesdays are Visit Kunal in jail day for the Chopras ). Kunal tells her whatever she is doing is very risky and dangerous and Siddhi says that she is ready to face any danger for him. Kunal tells her that she needs to think not only about them but also about their unborn child. Siddhi says she is doing all this only for their child as when he/she is born, she wants Kunal to be around. She further says that she also needs him back home with her because due to the pregnancy, she has really bad mood swings these days and wants someone to love her and to fight with. Kunal says, so you want to use me as your punching bag? Who knows someday instead just taunting me, you might just punch me. She says that can also be romantic and Kunal says do you still remember the word ‘romantic”? I thought in order to become Jhansi ki Rani, you might have forgotten all about romance (I felt this dialog was said by Samir and nor Kunal). As they are having their usual nok-jhok, Vik arrives and says he forever wants to see them fighting like this but in their home not in the jail and Siddhi promises to Kunal that she will have him released from the prison tomorrow.

Next day, Chopras are doing Pooja, Aarati for the final hearing. Chopras tell Siddhi that they are confident that Siddhi will bring Kunal back home today. On the other Rohit is having FB of Raveena taunting and slapping him. At the Thakaral mansion, Richa (again in her court uniform, sorry I mean in the same green purple suite) shown walking around restlessly and Daddy T asks her why she is worried? He assures her that he will not let Siddhi win this case at any cost. He says that today he is fighting this case only for his son and he is confident that his son will only win this case. Richa says that hope he is right because if he knew what she knows, he wouldn’t be that confident. She continues with the self talk, that she can’t lose this case after coming this far and she will make sure that she wins it.

Vikram is shown talking to Rohit at the warehouse that if he is ashamed of what he has done, he should tell the truth in court. Vikram, makes Rohit wear burkha to take him to the court. Finally the hearing starts and Kunal is brought to the court (in the same manhoos blue shirt gives me the dj vu feeling of the final hearing of the rape case, but it’s nice to see him in regular cloths and not in the prisoner uniform). Daddy T starts the proceedings and asks the judge to announce death sentence for Kunal. Siddhi says Kunal is not a murderer and she can prove this. She says not only this accusation is false, but the whole case is false. Daddy T and Siddhi go back and forth with their argument and the judge asks Siddh to present her witness. On the other side, Richa’s goons are following Vikram’s car to rescue Rohit. Vik was able to fool them at the first attempt and Richa’s goons inform her that they have lost Vik’s car and don’t have hold of Rohit yet. Richa gets angry and tells them to find Rohit as he shouldn’t reach the court. Vikram informs Siddhi that they have succeeded in their plan to fool Richa’s goons and he is bringing Rohit to the court. However, eventually Richa’s goons spot Vik’s car and are able to rescue Rohit. Siddhi is still waiting for Vik and Rohit in the court while judge keeps questioning her when will her witness arrive? Vikram informs Siddhi that Rohit has been rescued by Richa’s goons while Richa’s goons inform Richa that they have rescued Rohit and won’t let him reach the court.

Richa is very happy upon hearing this and spots a sad Siddhi and tells to herself now that she has custody of Rohit she will make sure Siddhi doesn’t succeed in getting Kunal freed. Siddhi self talk, that she is sorry that she couldn’t save Kunal. Daddy T asks the judge to announce his verdict as he doesn’t see any witness arriving today. Siddhi again does the same kind of pleading to the judge as she did in the rape case (Dhanya ho CVs for showing lawyers in such a bad light), that while her witness was being brought in the court, her was attacked and kidnapped. Kunal looks very dejected and has “not again” kind of expression on his face. Daddy T makes fun of Siddhi and basically calls her layer. Vik comes to the court and tells the judge that Siddhi is telling the truth and they did have a witness who was kidnapped from them. Daddy T is just too good, says how this murder case become a kidnapping case now.

Siddhi asks the judge to give her another chance to present her witness and the judge gives her 10 days to do so. Court is adjourned for 10 days (in Parichay lad I am sure these 10 days are going to be at least 2 moths long). Siddhi tells Kunal that she is very sorry that she couldn’t save him; he doesn’t say anything and moves on. Richa watches all this. Outside of the court Siddhi calls out for Kunal when he is being taken back to the prison, but he doesn’t look back and keeps walking. Vik sees all this and is very sad. Richa comes to Siddhi and taunts her that why she is wasting her time with the false claims to Kunal and to herself that she will free Kunal. Richa says as long as Siddhi is with Kunal, he can never be free from jail; however, if she leaves him, he might come out of the jail (Do I hear a loud and clear indication of SiNal separation here? Yes I do). Richa leaves, Siddhi cries and the episode ends.
