Beautiful and bubblicious Niaa Sharma who plays the role of Maanvi in Star Plus’ Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (Cinevistaas) has decided to strike a different chord this New Year, 2013.

“Initially, I decided to party big time in Goa, but later I canned my plan. I was really saddened by the Delhi gang rape incident,” shared Niaa with us.

We have already written about Bollywood celebs shying away from partying during New Year post the death of the gang rape victim. Many TV celebs have also followed suit.

“I am saddened but my mom also is very scared after the entire incident. She doesn’t want me to venture out in the night to party and all. I think many others too feel the same way,” ended Niaa.
