Neha Marda lashes out to people spreading rumours against her
Neha Marda is one actress who looks at work as worship hence, when recently a daily reported about her getting replaced from her on-going show Doli Armaanon Ki (Spellbound Productions) for reasons related to performance- after having won the Critics’ Choice Award for her performance in Balika Vadhu- she couldn’t stay mum.
The actress came out in the open and spoke about the news being untrue and her very much being a part of the show.
In a conversation with us she reveals what actually led to this rumour and the reason for her to open up. Read on.
When we reminded her of the news report she said, “I wasn’t expecting to hear any of this and it did come as a big surprise to me. Moreover it grabbed my attention because the daily very clearly mentioned the reason to be my lack of performance. It did alert me but did not affect me for there wasn’t any truth. In fact, the first thing that I did was to walk up to my producer and mention the entire event to her which took her by surprise too.”
What were Pearl’s (producer Pearl Grey) exact words when she heard about this piece of information, “Pearl is one person who makes an effort to take care of her actors that is why she was shocked to hear such a news going around. The first thing that she told me was that she wanted me on the show because she saw a performer in me. So, I am very much a part of the show. Plus she assured that she’d check who was spreading such rumours.”
Who according to you spread these rumours? “I am sure this went out in the media from the production house. There are a few people who can’t see you happy or they don’t like your ways and they spread such rumours,” averred the actress.
Have you ever had any issues with production team? “There are times when you don’t agree and there are disputes. And these are more like the differences between a couple that settle in no time.”
What will you do if such a rumour surfaces again? “Not reacting to such things is a slap right in their face so, I wouldn’t bother. I wouldn’t want to waste any more of my time. As far as people who are spreading these rumours are concerned I think they should pull up their socks. I am happy in my space for I have a great producer and channel (Zee TV) to work with and none of it will bother me.”
Now that’s a clear cut message for all the troublemakers.
