Mohit won’t quit Kyaa Hua; to shoot only two days in a week for the soap
Mohit Malhotra, as we know has bagged the plump offer of anchoring Star Plus’ upcoming reality show, India’s Dancing Superstar (Trompe L’oeil Productions). The actor who is presently seen essaying the lead role of Vihaan in Balaji Telefilms’ Kyaa Hua Tera Vaada on Sony TV apparently wanted to leave the fiction show when he signed for the reality project. The makers were even on the lookout for a popular name to replace him. However, the sudden decision taken by Sony to end Kyaa Hua Tera Vaada has changed the entire plan.
Our source tells us that the hunt for Mohit’s replacement was on in Kyaa Hua, and that was the moment when the news of the show’s closure was announced. The makers have now requested Mohit to juggle between both shows, and give them two days in a week to get the story to a logical conclusion. We believe Mohit has agreed to this plan; the actor is eagerly looking forward to his anchoring stint along with Aishwarya Sakhuja in Star Plus’ upcoming talent hunt show.
We tried contacting Mohit Malhotra, but he remained unavailable.
Kyaa Hua Tera Vaada’s dipping TRPs, and the viral MMS scandal involving Mona Singh are believed to be the reasons for the sudden closure of this Balaji Telefilms’ show, as per sources.
Kyaa Hua is slated to end in May (2013), and will make way for Contiloe Telefilms’ big-ticket show Maharana Pratap.
Here’s wishing Mohit great time as an anchor.
