Shirdi people look at pamphlet stick to walls with Dattatrey’s sketch in it and walk away think what is written in it. Anta and Panta watch crowd and shooing them away see pamphlet on walls. Panta reads government order that this man is a criminal and whoever finds him should inform police. Anta says he is staying at Appa Patil’s house and informs police. Policemen walk into Appa’s house and asks if it is Patil’s house. Patil says he is Patil. Policeman asks to call Dattatrey. Dattrey comes out and gets tensed seeing policemen. Policeman orders to arrest Dattatrey. Renuka asks what is his mistake. Sudama scolds what did he do. Dattatrey says he did not do anything. Patil asks what did Dattatrey do. Policeman says he is a rebel and traitor, conspiring against British
government.
Dattatrey says it is wrong information. Policeman says they have evidence against him and have his sketch, Dattatrey has become famous overnight. Dattatrey reminisces demanding Sai to become famous overnight without any hardwork. He says he is not a traitor. Policeman asks to tell whatever he wants to in police station and drag him away hand cuffed. People discuss he is a traitor in pamphlet. Dattatrey shouts he is not a traitor and seeing Sai asks pleads for help. Sai stops policemen and asks how can they be so sure that Dattatrey is a traitor. Policeman says they have proof against him, he confessed his plans inebriated and tells whole story.. Sai says that means man who give tip off was also inebriated and misled police. Policeman says grabbing traitors is police’s prime duty and Dattatrey is not a normal traitor, he had possessed gold coins. Family stand shocked hearing that.
Sai asks policemen to take Dattatrey if they have proof. Heavy wind storm starts. Police take Dattatrey to police station. Officer scolds them that they caught an inebriated bragger on inebriated spy’s tip off, this man is a farmer and does not know anything than fighting with his brother and SIL and roaming whole village with his wife. He transfers them to Pune’s jungle. Sai Policeman makes policeman imagine future. He asks Dattatrey what he does. Dattatrey says he is farmer and came here to his auunt’s house as his house is getting renovated. He thinks if he does not take him, he will be insulted. Sai says he should spare Dattatrey now. Policemen warn Dattarey and walk away sparing him. Dattatrey apologizes Sai for his mistake and says he will remember his teachings. Sai says if he had remembered his brother and SIL’s fate, he would not have asked for fame overnight, they have to work hard for that.
