Manish Wadhwa is a talented actor and there are no second thoughts about it. He excelled on-screen as Chanakya in Imagine’s Chandragupta Maurya and gained immense popularity as well as critical acclaim. The actor then went on to take up his next big challenge in terms of character, with Life OK and Triangle Films Company’s Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev.

However, not many know that the actor was initially apprehensive of playing a negative character after playing a teacher on-screen. But to his surprise, Manish has literally doubled up his fan base with this role.

Talking about it, Manish told us, “I was not sure if I would be convincing enough as Raavan. But I am amazed to see the positive response from 97 percent of people while the rest of them are surprised to see Raavan in a new avatar. They wonder if Raavan was ever positive.”

When asked if he is enjoying the character of Raavan and he said, “It is a beautiful role and I love every bit of it. Though the make-up does get a bit tiring at times with the addition of hair and moustache, this is an interesting phase in my career.”
