Major programming changes in Sahara One; Niyati, JJJB and Firangi Bahu to go off air
Sahara One is all set to witness few major changes with the reins of management going to Entertainment Hub.
As per a reliable source, Niyati (Creative Eye), Jai Jai Jai Bajrangbali (Sagar Arts) and Firangi Bahu (Optimystix Productions) are set to go off-air from 28 March 2014.
In fact, the cast and crew of Jai Jai Jai Bajrangbali and Firangi Bahu have already stopped shooting.
“Yes, we stopped shooting four days ago for we were suddenly told that our show was going off-air. The news was a big shocker for all of us as we had become one big family,” confirmed Rohit Bharadwaj aka Pranay of Firangi Bahu.
On the basis of anonymity a Jai Jai Jai Bajrangbali team member averred, “Since we shoot in Baroda we always have a bank of episodics and as the channel wanted episodes only till 28 March, we stopped shooting a while ago. We have episodes beyond the officially decided off-air date.”
However, the cast and crew of Creative Eye’s Niyati continue shooting for they do not have an episodic bank. Producer of this show Dheeraj Kumar said, “The channel is mulling over most of the shows. So, it’s not A or B specific program that will be pulled off. There is also some time for these decisions to be taken and till then we will continue shooting in full swing.”
The next show Aakhir Bahu Bhi Toh Beti Hee Hai’s (Impact Tele Network Pvt. Ltd.) fate is still undecided as Payal Rajput aka Sia told us, “We’ve been hearing a lot of things and out of all that has been shared with us we know that the channel is not too sure about us. At the moment we are waiting to know if we will or will not be a part of the channel post the programming changes.”
Haunted Nights will very much be a part of the channel even post these major changes for it belongs to Entertainment Hub. However, the show will see a re-vamp which will also include it getting a new name.
Another show that also has a possibility of being re-vamped is Jai Jai Bajrangbali. “We hear that owning to its popularity Entertainment Hub might take over the creative. It is currently being produced by Sagar Arts,” said another source.
The same source also went on to add, “Though the channel is still deciding on Aakhir Bahu’s fate the channel insiders believe it will go off-air.”
Now, what will be replacing the existing serials?
“Entertainment Hub is currently working on three new shows. These shows will come in the picture soon after the others go off-air,” confirmed the source.
We tried reaching Vishal Gurnani, Head of Entertainment Hub, but he remained unavailable.
We will bring more updates on the changes.
