Main Lakshmi… on Life OK to end on 21 October

Life OK is gearing up for a major change in programming strategy and has as many as four shows in pipeline for launch. And as usual, few existing shows need to face the axe to make way for the new ones. So which are the shows going off air now?

Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, produced by Shashi-Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd and Alaxmi Humari Super Bahu, produced by Hats Off Productions we hear, are all set to shut shop. While Main Lakshmi has had a decent run, Alaxmi did not work as expected by the channel. The makers even tried to change the genre from comedy to a family drama, but the ratings never came.

Our reliable source states that both Alaxmi and Main Lakshmi… will end on 21 October 2012.

We tried contacting producer Sumeet Mittal, but could not get through to him while J D Majethia, producer of Alakshmi asked us to call him later.

We have also mentioned that the sword is hanging on the future of Saubhagyavati Bhava too, with Harshad Chopda deciding to quit the show. Also, with UTV Communications closing, the project will be going into the hands of a new producer in days to come.

Life OK has a kid’s reality show Hindustaan Ke Hunarbaaz ready for launch which will be followed by few fiction shows.
