Scene 1
Gurwaksh’s funeral is being done. Sada and Mehtab are crying. Sada recalls her moments with him. Sada says to Mehtab don’t cry. Your father always was a proud man. Clean his wounds. Mehtab cleans his wound. Sada recalls his favorite song and sits it. She says you can’t leave me alone. how will I live without you?

Mahan says what face will I take in that palace? How will I face jai mehtab and sada? What if Mehtab asks me why didn’t I bring her dad back? Raj says don’t blame yourself. Mahan says I failed. Mahan says I dont’ know what to do. Where will I hide? I hope I go with him. Raj says don’t say this. Mahan says I couldn’t save my brother.

The funeral is on going. The women take sada and mehtab away and men pick

Gurwaksh’s body is brought to the ground. Mehtab and sada are crying. ranjit looks at them from distance. Sada says in heart today I vow that I will never let this fire settle. Everyone will burn into it because of whom my husband died.
