Mahabharat to go off air on 10 August; Nisha Aur Uske Cousins to replace

The dramatic magnum opus show Mahabharat (Swastik Productions) on Star Plus is all set to bid farewell. Yes, the show that started off last year will air its final episode on 10 August.

Mahabharat, the ambitious project of producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary, started off with comparisons being made with BR Chopra’s yesteryear Mahabharat. But with the perfect cast and some superb performances, the actors managed to shrug off all burden and stood up high with the show gaining a huge popularity.

Added to that the creative team has been lauded time and again for churning out a beautifully written script for a concept that has been known for years.

The show also managed to make hero out of actors like Saurabh Raaj Jain (Krishna), Shaheer Sheikh (Arjun), Arpit Ranka (Duryodhan), Arav Chowdharry (Bhism Pitamah), Paras Arora (Abhimanyu), Pooja Sharma (Draupadi) among a lot many more.

The epic which is currently airing the last league of the historical Kurukshatera war will air its final episode on 10 August (Sunday) with a final hour long maha episode.

Shares a source, “The production and channel decided on giving the viewers a special last treat and thus this maha episode. It will be the culmination episode and quite a grand one. The cast will be shooting its last episode tentatively on 5 August.”

“We have also planned a wrap up party on the day where the whole team will watch the last episode and then party hard to celebrate our hard work and success,” informs an actor from the show.

We called and even sent a text message to Producer Siddharth, but he did not revert.

Now if there is an end, there is always a beginning. Well, as earlier informed by us, Sukesh Motwani’s Nisha Aur Uske Cousins will take Mahabharat’s 8 .30pm slot from 11 August.

Sukesh too did not respond to our calls and messages.

Simply love this show. Don’t understand this great epic is made to be finished in just one year, when it has enough stories to be spelled for years, and it has managed to climb up the TRP rankings also. Crazy Indians wants meaning-less soaps to continue for decades but not the ones that has content.

Good things has to end one or the other day.Loved the show very much.It has been recreated very well. The graphics used is best to ability. The performances from all the actors was good.Personally I loved the performance of Pooja Sharma(Draupadi),Saurabh Raaj Jain(Krishna),Shaheer Sheikh(Arjun),Arav Chowdharry(Bhishm) and Paras Arora(Abhimanyu) in the same order.Want to congratulate the whole team and Siddharth Tiwary for the hard work they have put and the success they have achieved.Hope their success continous. Finally got to learn a lot from the sacred epic series Mahabharth which is helpfull for life, which would give strength and show right path.

    feel pity for karna….
he was always neglected & only
    duryodhan supported him, but since
duryodhan was a bad guy so he also
    followed him.
karna never wanted to follow wrong
