After 3 stupendously successful seasons, Sony Entertainment Television launched India’s biggest and most anticipated game show Kaun Banega Crorepati 2013. The show is back again to sweep the country in a brand new avatar. Whelmed by the incomparable icon, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, KBC 2013 will make India come alive once again and is all poised to set new benchmarks. Geared with a faster and more innovative format, this season will surely take audiences to a new high and will excite every mind and refresh every imagination.
Produced once again by Big Synergy Media Ltd, Kaun Banega Crorepati will launch on September 6, Friday to Sunday at 8.30 pm on Sony Entertainment Television. Keeping up the entertainment quotient of the show as always, will be the iconic host, Mr Amitabh Bachchan with his stylish wardrobe designed by famous fashion designer Rohit Bal.
This season is spread over 13 power packed weekends with special episodes and interesting themes. For the first time in the show’s history, KBC 2013 will have a brand new set and design elements adding glamour to this fantastic show. Additionally, the standard KBC set has given way to a magnificent 360 degree multimedia stage, making India the first ever country to change the Who wants to be a Millionaire’ set worldwide. Kaun Banega Crorepati is synonymous with big victories and bigger prizes and in a move that will thrill a million hot seat hopefuls, for the first time ever in the history of KBC a whopping jackpot prizeof Rs.7 Crores .
Apart from this, the following changes have been implemented:
The Money Tree will now consist of 15 questions
There will be four questions in the Sapta Koti Sandook’ a brand new feature, that will give the contestants a chance to win from 1 crore to 3 crores, 5 crores and ultimately 7 crores
Yet another interesting innovation is the Fastest Finger First’ round which now becomes a Best out of three’ and the winner at the end enters the Hot Seat
More choice of lifelines – Flip the question’ (Alat Palat) returns in place of Ask the expert’ and 50:50′ comes back in place of Double Dip’
A brand new lifeline called Power Paplu’ has been introduced. This lifeline will aid those who seek to revive any already used lifeline
In the entire game play however, a hot seat contestant may use only 4 of the 5 lifelines on offer
Yet another interesting feature is the Play along’ for the Fastest Finger First’ contestants who do not make it to the hot seat. These contestants can now play along with the hot seat contestant and the one who answers the maximum number of questions in the minimum amount of time gets to win Rs. 1 lakh at the end of the episode Ghar Baithe Jeeto Jackpot.
