(Scene 1)
Madhu, dressed in off-white straight-fit pants peach knit tank top, hair left loose, opens the door and enters her room. She sees the black soot on the wall around the window. The sidetable near the window has burnt partly on the side, disfigured, the palmet above the window has become thinner, covered with soot. There are no curtains in the window. The sidetable top has been cleared. The photo frame and the candle stand that she had placed are missing. She turns to her right and opens the wardrobe. It is empty. Her brows narrow as she turns around to see the room.
"Madhu," Roops, dressed in an emerald and ash colored embroidered churidaar, enters the room, holding a breakfast tray. …..Read more
