Kumkum Bhagya 17th October 2014 Written Episode
The episode starts with Pragya helping people and then praying god to set Abhi free soon.
Day duty inspector reaches police station and sees reporters thronging outside. He asks constable about it. Constable says Abhi rockstar is in lockup. He asks not to joke. Constable asks him to check himself. Inspector gets excited hearing that and releases Abhi from lockup. He says he is his big fan and starts praising him. He says his wife is much bigger fan than him and says she watches his video daily. He calls and informs his wife who asks him to release Abhi first. He takes selfie with Abhi.
Corporator asks his puppet inspector why did not he give third-degree torture to Abhi. He says Abhi’s wife warned that she will go to media and says now new inspector has taken incharge and Abhi will be released if Pragya gives statement that you provoked Abhi to fight with you.
Abhi’s lawyer says if Pragya gives statement that corporator provoked him to hit him, he will be released. Tanu and Aaliya reach police station and start showing fake concern. Abhi asks them to stop their drama. Pragya reaches police station. Inspector asks her to give her statement. PRagya says wrong statement that corporator did not provoke Abhi to beat him. Abhi gets annoyed hearing that and says she wants him to be in jail for some more time. She says yes. He says Aliya was right and I would not have helped your family. He says once he comes home, she will kick her out from his life.
Sarla slaps Pragya and asks why did she give false statement and betrayed Abhi. She says she did not touch her since childhood, but she is ashamed of her now.
Aaliya brainwashes Abhi by saying that Pragya is taking revenge as she or her sister could not marry Purab, etc. She says she will get into jail and will release him instead. Abhi thinks he will punish Pragya once he gets out of jail.
Pragya asks Sarla why would she betray her husband asks if she does not believe her daughter. She tells her about the incident where corporator asks inspector to break abhi’s hands and legs via his goons once Abhi is released and says she got him into jail and now will bail him out at any cost. She says she did not what to do at that time as she was very anxious and gave wrong statement. Sarla says you saved him from this prob, but you will have to get him from jail also. Pragya says she will get him out of jail at any cost.
Precap: Lawyer says Aaliya that without PRagya’s statement, he cannot get Abhi’s bail. Abhi thinks Pragya gave two different statements and knows only to play with his life.

October 17, 20:19There are blaring mistakes, that Pragya has committed , has only worsened the relationship between her and Abhi further . Now that she has found a new meaning in her relationship with her husband… love… she could have have been smarter in her attempts to bail out Abhi.Total disappointment prevails with Pragya and her moves.
Pragya as a college lecture should have been aware that there is something known as ‘ police protection ‘ . She should have sought for it instead of the putting on this martyr’s role. Why earn Abhi’s wrath ? Further, she could have called for a press conference , for after all, Abhi is a celebrity . Or she should have taken Akash into confidence and bailed Abhi out or joined hands with Purab in this matter.She did none of these . What is the purpose for this damsel in distress role confounds me?
Purab should have stepped in faster . Why take all the time in the world to represent Abhi at the police station when your presence is of vital importance ?
As for the two timers Aaliya and Tanu , their facade is sure to fall . Aaliya is a dreaded person who should be feared, with all her nakaras . Abhi as well as Tanu would soon realise their folly for trusting her . And , as for Sarla, she is just emotional and impulsive , who acts first and then uses her brains.
The CVs are taking the viewers for a ride once again. For sure, we would have the same drama of Abhi and his anger vented out , lashing Pragya , who takes everything rather submissively, like a frightened kitten, with doleful and soulful eyes . filled with tears , looking through her specs . We had enough of this , Pragya. Fight for your self esteem , and it is high time you did it. You have the complete backing and support of the masses who watch every move of yours on the small screen.

October 17, 22:41Hi, S, it was my concern and love for Pragya that pained and angered me. She would once again be the target of Abhi’s vent out rage and an outcast in her family. All I say is that she could have avoided this. All her attempts to earn a place in her husband’s heart and a place in his house go vain.Some caution she should have exercised , knowing Aaliya and Tanu and all others are hell bent to defame her. My support is for Prayga , through these pained words. The word “kitten ” is not at all derogatory , it reflects her sheer ” helplessness ” . So , I am with you about not bad mouthing Pragya , which was not intended, but point out her faults , I will, for I care for her too , though she is a fictitious character.

October 18, 05:40Sumaira u are so loyal to Pragya & this show, which I appreciate. So uch so u are not willing to here any negative criticism, but u must understand that as fans we fall in love with a character or a show because we like the story line or the way the character is portrayed or the actor. I for one was in love with Pragya’s character, specially her fighting spirits, that didn’t let her bow down to Abhi, Aliya & Tanu’s pressures, insult and evil. How she held her head high & held on to her dignity. Wasn’t scared to tell Abhi off, without being a door mat… Which is what we want to see in an educated, down to earth, independent women… Now though it seems her character has taken a downward tumble… She is portrayed, as the typical damsel in distress, and making all the wrong choices for simple problems adding to her own down fall… We are sick and tired of watching these serials that make women look so weak, pathetic & unreliable who cant fend for themselves. I was def hoping Pragya’s character wouldn’t be such. So disappointed with her character now. Seen enough of the sacrificial lamb type heroines, was hoping to c a tigress, who will defend her territory.
So hope u understand our frustrations with the writers, who have the power to destroy good characters… Make fools of us…

October 17, 19:02Ok let me start of with how much I love this show… Like I really do but, I see so many discripansies in the story line, and it’s heading downhill fast…
1.Abhi is a much celebrated rockstar, who is in jail.
Pragya is his wife, who is still walking the streets, feeling elated about her new found feelings for her husband, stopping to buy icecream & help an elderly laddy catch an auto, while her husband has spent the entire night in jail with an inspector who is itching to beat him into a pulp.
I take it all available cars in the house had gone to carwash for her inconvenience. She could have. Ery easily asked Akash to help his bro being his manager, he should be on top of it. Living under the same roof, why she could not let the rest of the family know to help bring him out. Surely she knows he has a lawyer to handle all his legal work. Being an educated indipendent women, u’d think she has so much brain to ask Akash to make appropriate arrangements to get Abhi out easily, instead of complecating things.
2. Who informed the media & the fans? (A good thing)
3. She could have simply told the inspector in charge now, what she heard from the cooperator & the other inspector talking about harming Abhi on his release & asked for extream police protection… This is India for crying out loud… ( even convicted criminals have police protection he is a celeb after all)
Once Abhi is home they could have easily arranged for more protection… How is keeping him inside going to save him now? Where it is more dangerous. Seriously, she has acted foolishly earning Abhi’s hatreds even more…
4. Aliya is a selfish vampire, changes avatar by day & night. So sick in ur head u have lost all sense of humanity, after all this is ur brother in jail. We all know ur playing a drama for Abhi’s benifit, so u can still keep manipulating him. Tanu if I were u, I’ll be staying well clear of Aliya. If she can do this to her own brother who she proffered to love so much, imagin ur state if u ever crossed ur line. If u think just because she’s ur BF, being her bhabi is gonna be a breeze, u have no idea what ur getting urself into. It is in ur best interest to run as far as u can from Aliya if not Abhi.
5. Abhi u are so dumb if u dont realise, the reason u are so upset about Pragya’s betrayal is u have strong feelings for her. If u didn’t care for her it shouldn’t bother u so much.
6. As for Sarla, all night ur daughter was running around trying to free her hubby & not one of u were there to help her. You breeze in in the morning like its ur sasurals house to c whats happening & then slap ur daughter, without even asking why she would do something like that. So much for ur trust in ur children & ur upbringing. U will never learn. Dadi is right. U have a desease of suspecting & worrying that certainly has no cure.
7. Where the heck is Purab? Ur best friend is behind bars. U have arranged for his lawyer, why r u not there to c him out. This is not the time to be a coward. Face Abhi, let him know u r there for him regardless of how he feels about u.
On the whole the writers are making us the fans look like idiots, for buying into their story line. Creating more misunderstandings & hatreds between the two leads is not why we bloddy tune into watch. We want them to understand each other & stand by each other.
What u r doing to drag this story line is putting us off. I started watching this from just b4 pragya & Abhi’s marriage, but was so engrossed I watched it from the beggining in 2 days. Thats how good it was, it used to be the first show I watched when I got back from work. Nowadays i have resorted to reading the written updates. Thanks only to the writers, who have successfully ruined another impressive storyline, with your boring never ending misunderstandings.
Thank you to all those fans who took the time to read my complete and utter frustration of my much loved show. Making not just the two leads bus also us audiance look like utter ridiculous fools!!

I agree with you, for am also a member of that frustrated group , pained with the trend of the story line BUT hopeful that all would be well soon . Comment and complain is all that one can do , but the futility prevails for it is only the CVs who have to finally see that the tracks are once again brought back and the drama continues sensibly .

And why the hell had it to be Pragya falling for Abhi first? could it not for once go the other way around that Abhi falls first? now they will tire us with endless lovelorn scenes with Pragya who will bear all crap for the sake of love while Abhi continues being twisted by the witches.
we talk of better days ahead all i see is Pragya in a far more pitiful condition of oppression than she had been before. Abhi should have fallen first. i am tired of the way they treat Pragya n how writers turn her dumb, now with love added to it she will bear all even more in silence.
