Kuch Toh Log Kahenge 17th December 2012 Written Update

Nidhi asks Ashu whether she is right now with a neurosurgeon or her husband. Ashu says that in the house he is his husband but in the hospital, only a neurosurgeon and if she thinks he is not supporting her that’s her call, he won’t explain himself. They get into an argument and stop talking, giving each other silent treatment.

Next morning, Ashu tells Baba and Kaka that he is going to the hospital. They insist that he should have breakfast but he declines. Baba thinks that this isn’t just an argument but a fight.

Ashu remembers something and goes to his room where Nidhi is still sleeping. He smiles seeing her sleep and goes to caress her head but stops and leaves. He fixes a note on the cupboard which says he is going for an urgent operation. After a while, Nidhi wakes up but the note falls off the cupboard. She thinks he has gone early for breakfast.

Kaka is pressing Baba’s head. He says it is aching for so long so why doesn’t he take medicine. Baba insists it’s nothing serious. Nidhi comes and gets worried seeing this and writes a medicine for him. They inform her that Ashu has already left and she gets a little taken aback. She also leaves without breakfast. Baba is convinced that the problem is serious.

Aditi notices Nidhi alone and grumpy. She tells Aditi that Ashu didn’t take breakfast and came without getting her. Aditi says that all men are like this, they have an ego. Nidhi agrees it all. They talk about how all men need mothering.

In the canteen, DD notices Ashu very silent and broody. Nidhi and Aditi also walk in for breakfast. Nidhi and Ashu look at each other and DD notices the tension between them. He points out to Ashu that Nidhi too didn’t take breakfast at home. He asks Ashu bluntly if they’ve had a fight but Ashu denies. DD goes on that she is young and he is mature so the relationship needs be handled with more responsibility. They then talk about Baba. Ashu says he keeping a little unwell and DD wants to meet him. Ashu invites him for dinner to which he readily agrees since he really wants to eat homemade indian food.

Ashu gets up. Nidhi thinks he is coming to talk to her but he walks away. This upsets Nidhi. Aditi suggests not to pay any attention to him. She thinks Nidhi needs a break and suggests that she comes over for dinner to Nidhi’s and wants to wat chinese (Oopsie!).

Later at home, Nidhi is busy cooking chinese. Baba informs that Kaka has gone to his home because his nephew is ill. Nidhi wanted his help and informs Baba that she has called a friend over.

Ashu is about to leave the hospital. He notices Nidhi’s cabin and opens it but it is empty. DD asks if he is waiting for Nidhi. Ashu says he was but seems like she has left early. DD says maybe she has gone home early to prepare for the dinner since he must’ve informed her.

Precap: DD and Aditi walk into the Mathurs’. Later in the kitchen, AshNi are upset with each other for not sharing their plans
