“Khelti Hai Zindagi…portrays the truth of life”

Says Farida Dadi who plays the character of Baa in the show Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi.

The veteran ace actress Farida Dadi who is seen in many daily soaps and movies, is currently doing two shows together at a time namely the historical show Jodha Akbar and the daily drama show Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi on Zee TV.

On the same we got in a candid chat with Farida Dadi, who shared with us on how she handles two shows at a time, about her character Baa in Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi, what made her take up the show Khelti Hai Zindagi… and much more.

Here is what she said…

On doing two shows together at a time, she shares “Yes, I am doing two shows Jodha Akbar and Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi together. There is not much about my character in the on-going track of Jodha Akbar and hence I happily took up the opportunity of doing the show Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi. Being less track of mine in Jodha Akbar makes it more easy for me to handle both the shoots together as in Khelti Hai Zindagi I playing a central character.”

The show Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi portrays the truth of life and is not like the one which is based on fantasy says Farida Dadi, “Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi is a new show with a very nice concept. It is not based on the fantasy world, it portrays the truth of life. I am very happy to be a part of this show.”

When asked Farida dadi about her character in the show she said, “The character of Baa is very lively. I have 2 sons, one is dead and the other one I am not much close too, as after his marriage he has become very much close to his wife who is very smart and cannot see good of others. Hence I chose to stay with Shruti and her two daughters.”

The person she loves the most in the house is Shruti which is essayed by Gautami Kapoor, “The love and respect that Shruti showers on me is unconditional and makes me stay along with her. She is like a guiding light in my life. Also I am very much close to my grand daughters Ami and Khushboo. I am very much supportive and at times become like a kid along with them.”

Farida dadi is happy to play various shades in this show, “The character of Baa is very interesting and has lots of shades to portray like the emotional, comedy, serious etc. When you get to do so many things with the character then you enjoy doing the show and get to explore a lot.”

On being asked Farida dadi about what made her take up the show Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi she said, “They way they narrated the character to me, at once I thought that they were just talking about me. The character was very much like me in the real life. So I did not give it a second thought and I took it up. This show is unlike other daily soaps in which you have to get into the character. The characters in this show are very much natural. This is what got me attracted towards the show.”

“I am very much close to Shruti in the show. Also to her beautiful daughters who are my grand daughters Ami and Khushboo. The only person that I don’t like in the house is Nani, we are seen having a tiff for no reason (laughs). It is one crazy family” she concludes.
