Kavita Kaushik to do a Gangubai in SAB TV’s FIR
As an adept police officer, Chandramukhi Chautala (Kavita Kaushik) has always solved cases related to crime in her own unique ways in SAB TV’s FIR (Edit II Productions).
But this time around, she will be seen in a completely different avatar in the track that currently focuses on the stealing of the golden modak from a village in Maharashtra. And to solve this case, the entertaining Inspector will be seen essaying the character of Gangu Bai in a traditional nine yard saree.
Says Kavita, who has always been awed by the Marathi culture and particularly the mannerisms and cuisine associated with it, “As Chandramukhi, I have been used to playing the dabangg police officer and a crude person. With this new role, the game changed entirely as I had to be a demure soft spoken lady. The contrast was strikingly impressive between Gangubai and Chandramukhi. I spoke with my friends from the Marathi theatre industry to get tips about this role. I am really happy that I will be playing the role of Gangubai in FIR. It will be fun to play the part that I am so endeared towards. ”
It will definitely be a visual treat to watch Chandramukhi solve the case with a dash of humour in tonight’s episode!
