Scene 1
Radha asks Kashi where is Nana Saheb? Kashi says Ganga is bringing him. Kashi is waiting. Baji is in the room and thinks I have to choose Mastani, I am sorry Kashi. He is about to leave to meet Mastani but he hears his son crying. Baji tries to leave but he can’t ignore his son. He takes his son from Ganga and consoles him.

Guruji asks Kashi where is Nana Saheb and Baji? Kashi says I will go and look for him. Kashi goes to look for him and sees Baji with their son. She says Guruji is waiting for us. Kashi and Baji arrive there. Kashi apologizes to Guruji and says let’s start the pooja. Baji thinks I am sorry Mastani but I can’t leave this pooja. Mastani is waiting for Baji but he doesn’t come so she goes and finds him sitting in the pooja with Kashi. Mastani leaves from there and cries. She says I trusted Baji. Matank says I told you that he won’t choose you. Mastani says I have to show them that I don’t lose without a fight, I will win Baji back.

Kashi comes to Mastani and says you don’t look good crying. Mastani looks away and says I am not crying. Kashi says I told you that I know Baji and you will be hurt. She makes her sit down and gives her water. Kashi says Baji has chosen you but he will do what is right for everyone. This is Pune and Baji has a lot of responsibilities so you shouldn’t ask a lot from him. Mastani says I just want to become part of this family. Kashi brings food for her and says it’s from pooja so please eat, she leaves. Mastani says I don’t need things in charity. She is angry but sees diyas lit up. She comes out to see Baji lighting diyas again. She is angry. Baji says I am sorry but you know it was about my son. Kashi sees them together. Baji gifts a ring to Mastani. He wishes her a birthday. Mastani smiles and hugs him. Ganga tells Kashi aren’t you angry to see her win even after losing? Kashi says I am just happy that Baji chose his son when he needed to. She asks Ganga to send food to them and leaves from there. Baji tells Mastani that we will celebrate your birthday grandly every year. The servant comes there and says Kashi has sent food for you both. Baji says let’s go and eat together. Mastani says I don’t want to create a scene. Baji says you are part of the family, Kashi has sent food so it means she is accepting you also.

Kashi comes to Radha and says I want to talk about Mastani. She says you should give the room back to her. I am scared of seeing her silent and bearing all this. Baji is ready to lose everything for Mastani and she is using him. Baji will take his side if he knows everything so give the room back to her. Radha says fine, I will give the room back to her. Kashi says I don’t understand Mastani.

Matank tells Mastani that we are living in this servant quarter like servants. I will go and talk to Baji. Mastani writes a letter and asks her to send it to Baji. Matank says you should be writing about your situation instead of your love.

Baji is waiting outside Kashi’s room. She comes out and says you here? Baji says I can’t enter your room so I came here to thank you for sending food for Mastani. Kashi says I don’t want anyone to be hungry, do you want to say anything else? Baji says nothing else. He stares at her.

Mastani gets an idea and puts mud on the letter. She asks Matank to take it now.

Kashi asks Baji if he came to see her? Baji says it’s not like that. Kashi says I know you can’t sleep without seeing me so I will meet you outside my room at night. You did leave your Kashi behind but there is still hope I think. Baji is satisfied and leaves from there.
