Just enjoy and I will always be there to give a tip or two: Drashti Dhami to Jhalak season 7 contest
The very vivacious and gorgeous Drashti Dhami, who won the last year’s Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa trophy, is all set to co anchor the seventh season of the show on Colors produced by BBC Worldwide Media.
As we chatted with the lovely girl at the press launch of the show, we asked her what was going through in her mind with getting this new job at hand. “I am super excited at the moment but at the same time very nervous. I am getting around with the job and I am sure I will manage to do a good job as the show would progress in the coming days,” she averred.
Drashti will also get a co-host in Ranvir Shorey, who people know is very deft with the mike in hand. “He is a really nice guy and we are building up a chemistry so that we rock as anchors. Since I am new to this job he keeps on teasing me that every time he fumbles up he will bring me to the fore. But I know he jokes about it for all these time he has been taking care of me and in full control of our job (smiles).”
The actress, who was dressed in a stylish combination of monochrome and looked gorgeous in her petite figure, will also display her own unique style in the show. “People will see how Drashti dresses up in real life; simple yet very classy. And I am glad people are liking my taste and I am sure viewers will definitely like my new avatar in the show.”
When we asked Drashti on the advice she has for the contestants being the winner last year, she quickly replied, “I know all of you will get tired, would want to give up but this is the experience that you will cherish all your life. This journey will be a story you would want to tell your children of how hard you worked to get to the trophy. Just enjoy and I will always be there to give a tip or two (smiles).”
Although she confirms that she will be performing on stage the Madhubala actress did not have an idea when viewers will get to see her groove. As for the winner among the list, she said, “I haven’t seen any of their performances so I cannot really comment on that but I have always maintained that may the best one win.”
And finally we wondered how Drashti will handle two shows together with Madhubala still going strong. “I feel it’s actually much better than last year where I was rehearsing for seven days and then coming back to shoot. Here I will be required just for a couple of days so I am hoping that it’s going to be an easier job. But I am sure we will work out on an adjustable schedule,” she concluded.
Way to go girl!
