Junoon 2nd January 2013 Written Update

Brief update:

-Prithvi gifts Sunheri chudiyan at the request of his “adoptive” mom but Sunheri doesn’t accept them because she thinks he only gave them to her because her mom asked him to.
-she later changes her mind and wants the bangles but gets upset when she sees Miu with them on (Miu was informed by a servant that they belonged to no one so to keep them)
-Prithvi tells her he will buy her new ones as they are not coming off Miu’s arms as they are too tight
-Prabha tells Prithvi to drop Miu off at the Mundir
-Miu asks bhagvan to help her fulfill her mother’s wish as tomorrow is her last day at the haveli as the sentence the panchaat gave her will be completed by then
-Bhaku going full force with their plans to unveil Ramu’s deceit to everyone regarding the death of Sudha and Meera 20 years ago

Detailed WU:

@ Haveli (Outside on veranda/porch):
Epi starts with Prithvi giving chudiyan (bangles/bracelets – in case I spelled it wrong ) to Sunheri who was sitting drying her hair outside. She’s all pleased and asks him to put them on her until she finds out he only got them for her at the request of her mom. He says your mom only asked me to get the bangles not put them on you. She gets upset that he only brought them because her mom told him to and not because he wanted to. She tells him to throw them away.

Short while later Miu comes outside on the veranda and sees some of the servants taking out some furniture from the haveli. She inquires as to why they are doing this. Servant replies that Datta Thakur asked them to give the furniture to the poor (I’m assuming because of the havoc the weather created to the villagers homes and belongings). Her eyes fall upon the box of chudiyan. She asks whose they are and he says they are no ones and that they probably came out of the store room (same place as where they are pulling the furniture out of). He tells her to keep them, she says are you sure they don’t belong to anyone? He replies yes he’s sure. She’s holding them thinking of Aakash’s request that she wear red chudiyan on their wedding day and that she’ll look beautiful. She starts putting on the bangles.

Sunheri’s room:
Meanwhile Sunheri is in her room thinking about how she wasn’t very nice to Prithvi. She figures that it does not matter that her mom told him to get the bangles and that it still counts since he’s the one that went out and got them himself. So of course she decides to accept the gift as it was from Prithvi and goes back outside to get them.

Back on the veranda/porch:
Sunheri arrives on the porch to get the chudiyan but sees Miu putting them on. She asks Miu what she thinks she is doing and how dare she put on her bangles! Miu apologizes saying she did not know they were hers and is about to tell her about the servant telling her they didn’t belong to anyone but before she gets a chance Sunheri rudely interrupts and says to her that I have noticing lately that she you (Miu) have been making a habit of claiming what is mine. Then she commands her to take them off. Miu says again (really nicely I might add) that she did not know that they belonged to her and starts trying to take them off but they are not coming off. Miu says they are not coming off. Sunheri says they’re not coming off eh? So how did you get them on? She accuses her of putting them on, on purpose knowing they would get stuck, . She again tells her to take them off! Then she grabs Miu’s hands and tries to remove them herself but is hurting Miu in the process. She’s unable to remove them so she calls Prithvi. She says can you believe the gall of this girl, she put on the chudiyan you brought for me and now she won’t take them off (Miu is shocked hearing that the bangles she was wearing Prithvi had purchased ). Sunheri tells Prithvi to take the chudiyan off of Miu. He raises his hand to take her arm to remove the bangles but Miu yanks her arm away before he can do so. She starts removing the bangles herself and cuts herself in the process as they are too tight and one of them broke in her hurry to remove what was Prithvi’s. Sunheri is getting upset that Miu is breaking her bracelets instead of being worried that Miu has hurt herself. Prithvi on the other hand is upset seeing that Miu has cut herself and says to his Choti Thakurian that just leave it, I’ll buy you some different bangles. She replies no, I want only these ones. You brought these for me not for anyone else! Seems Prithvi knows her well so he says let it go Choti Thakurian I’ll by even better chudiyan for you, why wear something already worn by someone else. She agrees to this and says I’ll wear new ones and after giving Miu a “look” she leaves from there.
Prithvi looks at Miu and (either not knowing what to say or remembering he said he would not bother her again) is about to leave and is just walking past her but before he goes any further Miu stops him in his tracks by saying it is my rotten luck that I should unknowingly have my hands the chudiyan you purchased when in reality I wouldn’t even want to drink water from your hands! I don’t know what deed I am paying for in my past life that keeps bringing you in front of me repeatedly. How much blood that was going to flow from my veins in your name and how many injuries I was going to sustain in your name are done, I am hoping that from now on we never have to be in each other’s sights again. He replies you will get your wish soon. Your sentence in this haveli will be completed by tomorrow so you will have no need to be here therefore neither of us will have to see each other again. (As he leaves the Junoon song start plays). Miu breaks all the bangles piece by piece after he leaves and even though it is causing her to do so.

In haveli:
Prabha is asking servant to go and bring the Pundit to the haveli but he says that I am going to do some work that Datta Thakur requested but will go to the mundir as soon as that is done. Prabha says don’t worry about it as by then it will be late. Miu hears this and offers to get the Pundit. Prabha says no that’s okay plus I’ve never thought of you as a servant in this house and also your sentence will be completed by tomorrow. Miu says I’m not asking to do it because of the sentence I was given but because I want to. You are the only one here that has given me love, in fact more so than the ones that are supposedly mine have given me here. For that love, can’t I do this small thing for you? Prabha agrees but asks how she will get to the mundir? Then she sees Prithvi who is on his way out and she stops him and tells him to take Miu to the mundir. Miu does not want to go with him and looks at Prithvi in anger and Prithvi probably doesn’t want to take her as he has promised to try and not cross her path but Prabh insists so they go. Miu is waiting outside by the jeep and says I am only going because Prabha asked me to. I can’t understand how she can love such an animal as you. Prithvi gets in the jeep honks the horn for Miu to get in and they go.

Back in the haveli:
Kalkhi is washing dishes and Prabha shows up and says why are you doing this, I’ll do it. Kalki says don’t worry about it but Prabha sits and starts to help her. She says jiji I want to talk to you about Sunheri’s marriage. Kalki face lights up when Prabha mentions Sunheri. She says I too am looking forward to her marriage. She’s our princess and we’ll do her marriage with lots of fanfare. She also mentions that she liked the people that came by yesterday asking for Sunheri’s hand in marriage and that the boy looked good for Sunheri plus he’s educated. She ask what Prabha thinks about him. Prabha says I wasn’t referring to that proposal. Kalki says so who were you referring to? Prabha replies Prithvi. Kalki is shocked hearing this she says Prithvi and Sunheri? He’s a servant! How can you even think that! Prabha replies that Ramu and I have raised him since he was a child and we think of him as our own son plus the most important fact is that Sunheri really likes him too. Kalki says forget Sunheri she’s just a child she doesn’t know what’s good or bad. She say’s but what happened to you? Have you gone mad? This is just what you were proposing right? Devar ji couldn’t have thought this. Prabha asks why can’t he? To which Kalki answers, because Prithvi has been bound by a relationship since childhood (this will be the childhood relationship between Mithvi that she is referring to whether it be a childhood wedding or engagement ). Prabha asks what relationship? Khalki does some quick thinking and replies gulami (servant/slavery) ka relationship and gulam’s are loyal but that relationship does not change to one of a relative. If you don’t like what I have to say then ask Devar ji yourself. Prabha says I did talk to him about it. Kalki asks what he said? Prabha replies that he said we’ll talk about this later but he didn’t deny it outright. I have faith that he will be agree to this too. Kalki says fine. Let tomorrow’s function happen then I will ask him myself and we’ll see what Daver ji has to say…….

Mundir:

Prithvi drops Miu off at the Mundir (this is all done without either of them saying a word ). Miu goes to see Pundit to give him the message that Thakurian is waiting for him at the haveli. He tells her to wait 20 minutes and he’ll be ready to go.

Outside haveli again:

Lakhu is lying down on a cot outside, drinking and Kalki shows up. She starts smacking him over and over again and says have some shame it’s early in the morning and your drinking already? He says sorry my mind is a little disturbed because of all the stuff going on. She says here your not thinking straight and inside my sister’s brain is not functioning (looks like they are in fact sisters which would explain the caring that Bhabi shows to Sunheri and Prahba both ). He says what happened? She tells him that she (Prabha) wants to marry Sunheri to Prithvi. He comes back with has she gone crazy? I’ll go to her myself right now and make her understand. She tells him to sit and do nothing by tomorrow she will understand all by herself after Devar ji’s suspense film’s curtain rises . She says just like you say everything will be finniiised . Just wait till tomorrow.

Back at mundir:

Miu is talking to bhagvan and saying it’s my last day at the haveli tomorrow, the place where I was born and my mom came as a bride, a place she dreamed she would live the rest of her life. Those dreams have been broken and the relationship left hanging, incomplete. A wife and husband separated forever, a daughter craving for her father’s love and after all of these years when this daughter tried to fullfill her mother’s dreams…. And that attempt was left…(Miu is unable to complete this sentence). She says tomorrow is the last day for me to try and fulfill my mother’s dreams, perhaps I will fail tomorrow. The question is not only whether I stay in this goan or not but also whether you are real or not bhagvan ji. She says if you are real than please do some miracle and show yourself. Please.

Back to Bhaku on porch:
Kalki is talking about all the people that will be present tomorrow (some very important people like MLA plus the villagers etc) in front of whom Ramu’s truth will unfold and that to with a lot of fireworks. Lakhu says we’ve got to think about what we will say and do tomorrow. Kalki says no, we’re not going to say or do anything. There will be lots of people there to do that, there is no need to sully our hands with the deed. We don’t want to fall in the eyes of anyone, in fact we want to remain high in their esteem. He says but if we will sit and do nothing who will make a fool out of bhaii? To which she replies “Meeera, Meera”!

@ Mundir:
Pundit lets Miu know he’s ready to go to the haveli now.

Back to Bhaku scene:

Meera will do this work for us continues Bhabi. The daughter will unfold all of her father’s history. We will hit to targets with just one arrow.
Meera wants her father to acknowledge her, so all we have to do is give our congrats to the two of them for their relationship. (During this whole time Lakhu is listening to her very carefully with a grin on his face.) To gain something you have to give something in return she says. Ramu will get stripped of his role as Sarpanch and Sudha will lose her dreams of every setting foot in this haveli and she laughs. You go to Delhi right away. There the mother is in hospital (I’m assuming she means still in Mumbai hospital as I don’t remember her shifting back to Dehli yet) and the daughter is here. Go there and get the stuff that I need to make my dhamaka revelation.

Precap:
Ramu is going somewhere (probably the function where everything will be revealed). Prabha says wait a minute and I’ll get some yogurt and sugar for you so everything goes well. Ramu says no need but she goes to get it anyway. (Ramu, Prithvi, Sunheri and Prabha are all present). Miu is coming down the stairs and we see Bhabi who is shown upstairs on the landing overlooking everyone else. Prabha goes to get the bowl but drops it when her foot gets caught on something (obviously bad luck for Ramu, but hopefully good for us as we may finally get some answers). Miu sees Bhabi upstairs looking upon them….(I wonder if she thinks something is suspicious with Bhabi the way she was looking at her).
