jodha comes to ruks and ask you called me, ruks ask her to come and sit, jodha sits. ruks says day is beautiful, jodha agrees. ruks sees her earring and says its bend, I think you forgot to take it off before sleeping, I will make it right, she takes earring from her, she says I like to straight bend things, she gives earring back to jodha after making it right, she says you didn’t change dress of jashn, didn’t change it before sleeping, jodha says I was tired so, ruks says are you hiding something? jodha says no, ruks says your eyes are saying that you didn’t sleep whole night, must be playing with Rahim, she says you know jalal loves me a lot from childhood, he gave me this earring, he bought it from Kabul, after nikkah he spent most days in my room, its his habit that when he likes something he keep holding it, then many wives came and we became good friends then just being husband and wife but manhood is like this, they want destination, they run to catch destination and when reaches there, they try to find another destination, jodha ask do you need something, ruks says you know I am pregnant, I am giving child to jalal, I have Mughal heir with me so I want you to take care of me, jodha ask what you mean? ruks says have jalal’s biggest happiness, he wanted kid and its happiest news for him, I lost his heir earlier and there are still many enemies of jalal, I don’t trust any bandhi, I trust only you, you are good hearted women, she pretends and says see my feet are swelled, can you massage it, jodha is stunned, ruks says I feel bad to ask you this but you are most eligible for it, jodha nods and sits in ruks feet. jodha is doing massage of ruks feet, ruks looks at her and says will you take care of me? jodha says yes, ruks says now I got peace, I trust only you, she holds jodha’s hand and ask again will you take care of me for jalal’s unborn child, jodha lowers her eyes.

jodha comes in her and thinks ruks words, jalal comes there and says what is this, I was waiting for you and you didn’t come, why ruks called you? he sees her sad and ask why there is tears in your eyes? jodha says nothing, jalal ask why ruks called you, jodha tells him that ruks wants me to take care of her as bad incident happened earlier, jalal says how she can ask you, jalal says there are many badhies in harem you don’t have to do anything, I will talk to ruks, he turns to go but jodha holds his hand and stops him, jodha says you don’t do this, jalal says I cant see tears in your eyes, jodha says ruks have your child with you, she is giving heir to Mughals, she have your future child, if ruks wants me to do her services and if she get peace with it then I will do it because ruks is not only your wife but she is mother of your unborn child, he is your happiness and I will do everything which gives you happiness, if she gets peace then I will do it and also child will healthy then, jalal says I never understood women, you are different when you lover then wife and totally different when you are mother. jalal says you proved again that you have very big heart, you are different from all. jalal says how much wives Krishna ji had? jodha says sixteen thousand plus, nad eh used to go to all wives, jalal says even then with whom he stands in idol? jodha looks at him and says radha understanding what he means, they share an eyelock, he kisses her forehead, jalal says today I am going to announce big thing, I want you to be there, jodha nods, jalal kisses her hand, jodha smiles. jalal leaves.

SCene 3
jodha comes to ruks, ruks ask you here, jodha says you told me that you feel safe with my presence so I came here, jodha sees her puffing hokaah, jodha says its unhealthy for health, she ask bandhi to stop giving her hookah and give her healthy things, she says give ruks massage two times in a day, ruks just looks on, ruks says weather is very hot, jodha says to bandhi to place cool sheets behind curtains, ruks seems impressed, jodha says hot weather takes away water from body so you have to take watery thing every hour, jodha checks her fever and ask her to be careful, ruks feels headache, jodha ask what happened, ruks says headache, can you please massage it,k jodha agrees happily, ruks says I am getting peace, now I understand why jalal keep praising you. jalal comes there, he ask ruks to keep lying, jodha says she is fine, jalal ask bandhi to bring juice for ruks, jodha says I already called, jalal says I forget that you are here so mistake can happen, ruks is angry. hamida comes there. she sits beside ruks and ask her health, ruks says I am fine as you all are with me, hamida says you are giving heir to Mughal so be strong, salima says hamida brought some gifts for you, hamida makes her wear bangle and says this bangle was given to me when jalal was about to born, ruks is happy and shows it to jodha, jodha says its beautiful, salima sasy its good that ruks and jodha are sharing good raport, ruks says time changes everything, this unborn child changed me, salima sasy good that you understood jodha’s good heart, hamida says I am leaving as jodha is with you.

Scene 4
jodha sits on sofa, jalal says to ruks that I should leave now, he comes to jodha and whispers that don’t forget me while taking care of everyone, take time for me too, I want to talk to you so come in my room, jodha says I cant now as I have to be with ruks, jalal says whenever get time try to come, they smiles. ruks is jealous seeing them close, jalal leaves, jodha gives juice to ruks, ruks thanks her, bandhi comes and says jalal called jodha, ruks says you go jodha maybe jalal have some work, I am fine, jodha says okay I will come soon, you take rest. she leaves, ruks fumes.

Scene 5
jodha comes to jalal and says what urgent work you had that you called me, jalal says I listened that rajvanshi women take care of her husband most, its their duty, jodha says right, what you want me to do, jalal says I am feeling pain how to get rid of it, jodha ask where is it paining, jalal puts her hand on his heart and says till you are infront of me my heart pumps, its stops when you go away from me, what to do, jodha says not good, I was taking care of ruks and you called me lying, jalal says you also go away from me lying, jalal says its time for ruks to sleep so you can concentrate on me, jodha blushes.
ruks thinks why jalal called jodha, what work he had that he couldn’t stop, she ask bandhi to bring hookah, bandhi says but jodha… ruks scolds her that you are my bandhi, bring hookah, she goes to bring.
jalal lies his head in jodha’s lap and says all think you as queen but for me you are magician, jodha caresses his hairs, jalal says you do magic that restlessness goes away.
ruks thinks while puffing hookah that why jodha is taking much time, is jalal and jodha again… bandhi comes in jalal’s room, jalal scolds her, bandhi informs him that ruks health is deteriorating, jalal and jodha are shocked.

PRECAP- adham ask shehnaz to spend some time with him, he holds her dupatta and says I want it, she laughs and says you need dupatta then take it, she gives it to him and says I didn’t know you wear dupatta, adham gets angry and grabs her saying you are making fun of me, shehnaz slaps him hard for touching her, jodha sees it.

Later, when Jodha was tearful in her room after being humiliated by Ruq, Jalal shed a tear with her when she pleaded with him not to scold Ruq as she wanted to serve the baby that was part of Jalal’s flesh and blood. But after that bit of emotionality, when Jalal asked Jodha to reiterate that Radha was the most precious of consorts to Krishna, and that he was going to make an important elan which she should also come and hear, I thought I saw a determination of steel behind Jalal’s eyes. He was not going to stand for any rank-pulling by Ruq on Jodha. He was going to make it plain for all to see how special and unique Jodha was to him.

How he would do this I am not sure, but I feel that after this elan, even Ruq with her story pf pregnancy and her anticipation of MUZ title will fall in a despondent heap on the floor and wish to sink into the ground. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ruq thinks Jalal is going to announce her own elevation to MUZ … but what Jalal will say at the elan, she won’t have anticipated!

Again on the matter of the khandani kangans I feel sure one ugly scene will soon happen where Ruq has to return the kangans back to Hamida when she is exposed for the fake pregnancy. That will be worse humiliation for Ruq than the exposure of her lie itself! Imagine having to “give back” all that she cornered under the guise of a pregnancy? There again it looks to me like Hamida knows what she is doing. I feel she too is not 100% convinced about this pregnancy although she doesn’t show it openly. I thought that kangan was one way of trapping Ruq. Maybe Hamida wanted to see if Ruq would carry this story so far that she would even accept the kangans blithely?

I know many of you may not agree with me about this reticence of Jalal and Hamida to swallow Ruq’s story, but I am personally very convinced that I do not see full acceptance in them both on this story of Ruq’s. There is some “lack of overflowing joy” in Jalal, or I feel he would have been so taken by the birth of this child that he may not be able to give Jodha so much attention! Agreed he has recently discovered new depths of love for Jodha, but even so would he not be more effusive about the waaris being on its way? And wouldn’t Hamida gush even more? Something is lacking …

The ultra-cuteness of Jalal’s love for his beloved Jodha

Aside from this issue of doing right by his lady love, I thought the love sequences between Jalal and Jodha were ultra-cute. I like this new naughty Jalal and I like this new Jodha that pretends initially not to understand his wicked plans to get her to himself. I loved the way he then changes his naughtiness into words of genuine love. He first played pranks with her to get her to his room, but once there look at the way he said “My heart stops beating when you are not there, so you have to be around me to give my errant heart some peace!”

And then that exquisite scene where he has his head in her lap as she teases his hair with her fingers.

Ufff, ufff, ufff!

(When I am out of words, this “ufff” is a very useful way to describe my feelings and I notice many of you have started borrowing it from me! Now that the love scenes have started in full earnest I going to charge you all for using my word “Uff”. Each time you also say “Uff” you have to pay me ten bucks. And then I’ll become rich and get the title of Marium-Uff-Zamani!)

A comparison of the tactics of our villains

Folks, I just noticed something I wanted to share. Each of the three villains – Ruq, Maham and Shehnaaz – has her own tactics of “enemy management” which I couldn’t help but notice.

Ruq has a pattern about the way she tries to overcome her enemies. She first gets unusually friendly with her adversary to the point of being sickeningly sweet. Then she decides to checkmate them by a game of “occupying their time” to prevent them from being able to go against her wishes. She is doing just that with Jodha. Saccharine sweetness, followed by total occupation of Jodha’s time! But it’s not a very clever idea and Ruq will never be totally successful. Because any clever person with even an ounce of smartness should get easily alerted when they see this unusually sweet behaviour in Ruq – which is so not the usual Ruq!

This technique of enemy management by Ruq is in stark contrast to Maham’s technique which is quite different entirely. Maham begins to spew venom at her adversaries right from the start. And then she goes to her next step of planting “clues” to implicate her enemies in sordid doings. Maham is cleverer than Ruq because through her initial vehement and aggressive attacking style she wrong-foot’s her enemies … and when they are off-balance she quickly plants clues against them. She throws people at a disadvantage by her sudden and unanticipated attack first.

Shehnaaz’s style is very different again from the above two. Shehnaaz does very little to the enemies themselves. Instead she changes her own behaviour so as not to alert the enemy by either getting sweet with them or by getting aggressive with them. She flies under the radar of suspicion, because she hardly does anything to the enemy while she controls her game entirely by just changing her own persona cleverly. But then notice how she reacts when the enemy is fully taken in by her childish appearance. She strikes back physically as she did in the Adham case. She also showed this physical strike-back in a subtler way when she took the haar from Jalal in childish innocence and then tore it apart brutally physically. She also took the dolls sweetly in her hands and then screwed the neck off the Jalal doll. She plays by disguise first and by going for the kill next.

That was just my analysis of the three villains and their styles. Of all three I think Shehnaaz is the most dangerous because her game is so unobtrusive till the moment of vicious kill. The other two betray themselves by their “foreplay” of “sweetness” or “aggressiveness” so that the clever enemy will get alerted that something else is coming!

Lets just enjoy watching the show n appreciate their hard work.

We should appreciate them, they try to give us the best scene though there r some flaw sometime. Just overlook that.

To me it must have not been easy for them to do give just a sweet n wonderful beautiful union of Ja & Jo on the 26/5. It must have been a lot give n takes between them yet it did turn out lovely scene which we could remember. Should respect their individualism.

My guesses:

(1) His attempt to create religious tolerance, announcing Din-i-Ilahi, a group of wise religious leaders from different religions sharing the unique knowledge, with an intention to curb extreme intolerance against religion in his kingdom

(2) Establishes a centralized system of growing his kingdom with more consolidations of kingdoms, only this time with more diplomacy and inter state marriages

(3) Announces that he will not marry anymore, after Jodha begum

(4) Announce Ruks as Mariam-uz-Zamani (hope not)

I always say that there is a lot of prejudice in this show so why should I waste my precious words debating with people who would never be able to accept that.

Talking about history. All documentaries etc. that I have seen talks about Akbar and the places he conquered etc. The love story that they focus on is about SHAH JAHAN.

  Meera if I was in her place I won’t have done it either and for the same reason I would not venture in such a career. She’s lucky they didn’t force her to do it because obviously she would have known beforehand they would have wanted their consummation scene to be different from most of the other shows. I’m sure she would have known beforehand when she signed up that they would request her to do something like this but she has an upper hand because of her popularity. I don’t blame her though I would have done the same.

okay, I only read a few comments and all I can say is that ‘Anon’ is right.
theres always a reason behind everything that happens. some old dtb members don’t come here anymore, why? it’s because of these ‘new members’ who are just haters and have come here saying jodha this, jodha that, paridhi this and paridhi that. me, myself; I have stopped coming here because of THIS. This is one of the main reasons as why I have stopped commenting here as well. someone replied anon about dragging paridhi in this. anon didn’t drag paridhi in this. I’ve been reading a lot of comments as well, heaps of people blamed paridhi for refusing to do a lip lock scene with rajat. she is a girl who is bloody married and is faithful to her husband and family. even if paridhi wasn’t married, I don’t think she would’ve done a lip lock scene anyway. because her personality doesn’t allow her to. now don’t bother asking me how her personality is. because her pure personality just literally SHOWS ON SCREEN IN THIS SHOW.
If I was in her place, I wouldn’t do a lip lock scene anyway.
I live in a foreign country where girls at this age, walks around with guys in a bikini IN PUBLIC. but I’m not like that. I’m not the ‘fob types’ either. but my parents have gave me a very good personality. If I was in paridhi’s place, I wouldn’t do it either.
some people asked ‘paridhi knew that this show is based on a love story and there will be scenes like that so why did she even bother to sign up for this character?’ I say if I had the chance, I would’ve signed up as well. BUT; it’s not compulsory for the producer to do a lip lock scene is it? a consummation scene can be done beautifully with out doing lip locks.
now all serials do a consummation scene but most of them do it without lip lock.
no one complains then right? then why complain here for paridhi? she has her personal reasons. she’s bloody married man. and think about how hard would it be for paridhi to work with a guy who has attitude problems, who doesn’t talk straight, who doesn’t look at people in the eyes. now don’t say paridhi doesn’t look at him either. she would, because paridhi is very friendly. even lavina tandon said this at an interview that she was good friends with rajat during Prithviraj Chauhan but not now as he has attitude problems. also, there’s a video on youtube of lavina tandon where she talks about her relation with paridhi. she herself had said this that paridhi is a very sweet and friendly girl.
so please, it’s not paridhi’s fault. its only rajats attitude problems. rajat isn’t the one who is putting up with paridhi. in fact; PARIDHI is putting up with rajat.
I salute paridhi for her guts and her capability for working with rajat and doing these close scenes with him.
I am not against rajat. I love him as an actor. but I know he has attitude problems.
that’s why i APPRECIATE the work and effort paridhi puts on this show especially with a guy like him. does anybody know that paridhi and her husband tanmai saxsena watches jodha akbar together? imagine how hard and awkward would’ve it been for them two to watch jodha and jalals consummation scene IF they did do a lip lock?
now I know this info because I am an admin on the facebook jodha akbar – zee tv fan page. I know a lot of info.
what ever it is, I think everyone is just over acting by commenting and saying negative stuff about paridhi.

I bloody miss the old days where the OLD dtb members use to talk here.. joal gang.. iss joal gang ko kya naam doon.. my khandan, I miss everything.
but I’m sorry to say, things here is not the same anymore because of new members. they’ve just spoiled everyone’s mood with their stupid comments which is not needed here.   I was a silent reader of this page for long before i started commenting and I have followed your comments with some other ‘old’members as you put it. However your insistence on new members saying trash and ruining this page i find very unjust.
  
  This page and website was made open for all who watch and have something to comment on serial episodes, now whether these comments go down well or not depends from the perspective. We all have our favs in these shows and we want to vouch and endorse them to the last breath but we cannot impose this on others. You may have a lot of info abt JA but the average onlooker speaks only what they feel and see from their perspective. Come and correct were necessary and dont sound like people are fools because they dont agree with you but rather state your own arguments with facts and leave it at that.
  
  As much as there were people who did not like the news of a body double there were a majority here who appreciated the idea that Pari stepped back out of anything offensive. You observations on comments here is quite judgemental and somewhat oppressing. Whether you like it or not, people will believe what they want. You cant impose on them.
  
  However, I agree with you, if it is too offensive for you to hear any critique on ur fav artist then u made the right decision to stay away for you peace of mind. Because there is nothing as priceless as peace of mind.

Well why don’t we look at Ruqaiya-Jalal relationship from its initial stage…she was his childhood friend, who married as a child. Jalal status was not stabilised, he was always in battlefield with Bairam khan and wining state after states, where was the time for emotional connect…then came Jodha…Jalal, a hot blood, young man who was now Shehanshaah…consolidated his position, somewhat, as a ruler…he got to spend time with his new wife, to watch her, observe her…perhaps he found a fearless lady, a woman who’d the charm and charisma to arouse not just the man in him but a heart in him…where even Ruqaiya failed. The thing in Jalal-Ruqaiya’s relationship is the “lack of Evolution”…thus it became stagnant…Just see the speed of evolution in Jalal-Jodha…from hatred to friendship, to lovers, to a couple in love…and still will evolve coz they both love to explore each other…So the phase of Jalal’s life is also a factor and also Ruqaiya failed to evolve with time and also failed to discover Jalal…she moved on when she knew she’d him…that did it for her.

.you can’t force anyone to fall in love…love just happens…when it happens its unknown to you…there is no definition of love…it can’t be define too…it just happens…jallu did not plan to fall in love with jodha…it just happens…its not his mistake that he never ever fall in love with ruku or his 5000 wives…destiny and fate plays the biggest part in everyone’s life and here with jallu…he was destined to fall in love with jodha…
ruku is more in love with her power and position than jallu…she is jallu’s best friend…but she never tried to emotionally connect with him…all she wanted is to rule jallu…not share his pain…share his sorrow…tried to understand him…she puts her own desires but never try to know what jallu desires…there is no love b/w them…its pure friendship…no doubt she cares for jallu…but she loves her power and position…otherwise she doesn’t behave this rudely with jodha knowing that she too is the wife of jallu and he needs to give her the equal time…the way she insults and humiliate jodha is disgusting…the precap disgust me to no end…jodha is not a maid…but a queen

Ruk did all this so she can make Jodha run at her back and call and maybe later accuse her of MC
The thing is Jalal did not want Jo to do Ruk’s seva and when Jo said she is doing it for his happiness Jalal got tears in his eyes. If Ruk accuses Jodha now Jalal will not believe her.

Ruk might try to use Shehnaz but that might make Jalal want to send her away but not doubt Jodha.

I think when Jo brings out MA truth and gets punished Ruk might get scared that Jodha will discover she is lying too. Also Ruk will have to see she is failure in keeping Jalal away from Jodha.

Remember ALL thing Ruk is carrying Jalal’s child so they are just tolerating her tantrums. Jalal just enquired about Ruk and after that he was not interested in talking with her also.

I hope this Ruk track ends soon. It is torture to watch too much of Ruk in episode

Episode was a mixed bag . I Liked it..

When Jalal was saying hamare Dil mein Dard ho raha hai, Suddenly my father came in the room(searching for something)Confused and laughed seeing me. Actually, he heard Jalal’s dialogue.

He Asked me –> “pia, Kabse shuru hua.?.LOL. I was like– kya.?.
Dil mein dard.?.(Mine or Jalal’s ? )LOL (Mom was sitting nearby.LOL)

I was caught laughing today(silently, though).LOL (No matter i tried my best to keep serious and quiet.LOL)

Ruqs EPIC dialogue –> ” Kahin wo dono phir se…????????????? “.
BTW, Seems we are going to hear this dialogue often now.?.

No worries about Ruqs. Her downfall is eminent. She is not pregnant for sure.

Later, when Jodha was tearful in her room after being humiliated by Ruq, Jalal shed a tear with her when she pleaded with him not to scold Ruq as she wanted to serve the baby that was part of Jalal’s flesh and blood. But after that bit of emotionality, when Jalal asked Jodha to reiterate that Radha was the most precious of consorts to Krishna, and that he was going to make an important elan which she should also come and hear, I thought I saw a determination of steel behind Jalal’s eyes. He was not going to stand for any rank-pulling by Ruq on Jodha. He was going to make it plain for all to see how special and unique Jodha was to him.

How he would do this I am not sure, but I feel that after this elan, even Ruq with her story pf pregnancy and her anticipation of MUZ title will fall in a despondent heap on the floor and wish to sink into the ground. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ruq thinks Jalal is going to announce her own elevation to MUZ … but what Jalal will say at the elan, she won’t have anticipated!

Again on the matter of the khandani kangans I feel sure one ugly scene will soon happen where Ruq has to return the kangans back to Hamida when she is exposed for the fake pregnancy. That will be worse humiliation for Ruq than the exposure of her lie itself! Imagine having to “give back” all that she cornered under the guise of a pregnancy? There again it looks to me like Hamida knows what she is doing. I feel she too is not 100% convinced about this pregnancy although she doesn’t show it openly. I thought that kangan was one way of trapping Ruq. Maybe Hamida wanted to see if Ruq would carry this story so far that she would even accept the kangans blithely?

I know many of you may not agree with me about this reticence of Jalal and Hamida to swallow Ruq’s story, but I am personally very convinced that I do not see full acceptance in them both on this story of Ruq’s. There is some “lack of overflowing joy” in Jalal, or I feel he would have been so taken by the birth of this child that he may not be able to give Jodha so much attention! Agreed he has recently discovered new depths of love for Jodha, but even so would he not be more effusive about the waaris being on its way? And wouldn’t Hamida gush even more? Something is lacking …

The ultra-cuteness of Jalal’s love for his beloved Jodha

Aside from this issue of doing right by his lady love, I thought the love sequences between Jalal and Jodha were ultra-cute. I like this new naughty Jalal and I like this new Jodha that pretends initially not to understand his wicked plans to get her to himself. I loved the way he then changes his naughtiness into words of genuine love. He first played pranks with her to get her to his room, but once there look at the way he said “My heart stops beating when you are not there, so you have to be around me to give my errant heart some peace!”

And then that exquisite scene where he has his head in her lap as she teases his hair with her fingers.

Ufff, ufff, ufff!

(When I am out of words, this “ufff” is a very useful way to describe my feelings and I notice many of you have started borrowing it from me! Now that the love scenes have started in full earnest I going to charge you all for using my word “Uff”. Each time you also say “Uff” you have to pay me ten bucks. And then I’ll become rich and get the title of Marium-Uff-Zamani!)

A comparison of the tactics of our villains

Folks, I just noticed something I wanted to share. Each of the three villains – Ruq, Maham and Shehnaaz – has her own tactics of “enemy management” which I couldn’t help but notice.

Ruq has a pattern about the way she tries to overcome her enemies. She first gets unusually friendly with her adversary to the point of being sickeningly sweet. Then she decides to checkmate them by a game of “occupying their time” to prevent them from being able to go against her wishes. She is doing just that with Jodha. Saccharine sweetness, followed by total occupation of Jodha’s time! But it’s not a very clever idea and Ruq will never be totally successful. Because any clever person with even an ounce of smartness should get easily alerted when they see this unusually sweet behaviour in Ruq – which is so not the usual Ruq!

This technique of enemy management by Ruq is in stark contrast to Maham’s technique which is quite different entirely. Maham begins to spew venom at her adversaries right from the start. And then she goes to her next step of planting “clues” to implicate her enemies in sordid doings. Maham is cleverer than Ruq because through her initial vehement and aggressive attacking style she wrong-foot’s her enemies … and when they are off-balance she quickly plants clues against them. She throws people at a disadvantage by her sudden and unanticipated attack first.

Shehnaaz’s style is very different again from the above two. Shehnaaz does very little to the enemies themselves. Instead she changes her own behaviour so as not to alert the enemy by either getting sweet with them or by getting aggressive with them. She flies under the radar of suspicion, because she hardly does anything to the enemy while she controls her game entirely by just changing her own persona cleverly. But then notice how she reacts when the enemy is fully taken in by her childish appearance. She strikes back physically as she did in the Adham case. She also showed this physical strike-back in a subtler way when she took the haar from Jalal in childish innocence and then tore it apart brutally physically. She also took the dolls sweetly in her hands and then screwed the neck off the Jalal doll. She plays by disguise first and by going for the kill next.

That was just my analysis of the three villains and their styles. Of all three I think Shehnaaz is the most dangerous because her game is so unobtrusive till the moment of vicious kill. The other two betray themselves by their “foreplay” of “sweetness” or “aggressiveness” so that the clever enemy will get alerted that something else is coming!

What happened to that very nice Jo who asked JA to give his vote to Ruks since Ruks takes pride in being charge of harem.
What happened to that Jo who asked JA to spend time with Ruks because she doesn’t want to come in between.
Jo being so smart obviously knows that Ruks though not showing it on her face is very upset about JA being close to Jo, can’t she remind JA that he has a duty to his first wife and childhood friend , atleast ask him to spend so e time with Ruks especially in such a critical time of Ruks life considering that Jo doesn’t know that Ruks is acting.

Just a chess game or small outing with JA would so happy . Instead Jo is trying to turn this situation also to her benefit. Telling JA that she is taking care of Ruks.

Is she not selfish now.

  regarding ruks pregnency i think ruks is the 1 who deteriorated her relations with jalal to this extent.
  remember along with ma she too betrayed jalal in sujamal’s track. this grief deprived his overwhelming pain.
  but heprovided all necessities 4 ruks as a loyal husband.

I did mention that my comments were my opinion . Sorry if anyone got offended. One more thing I want to say I’m a Hindu and respect my religion. For all those who are talking about Ruks stooping down it’s only after she realized that she completely lost JA to Jo and JA not spending time with her.

Earlier she had her pride but did what was right . Offered gift for Jo’s birthday , saved her life once , supported Jo in child marriage controversy.

It’s easy to speak about nice things like Jo does but when it happens personally to you it’s ttough to stay calm, we have seen Jo itself how she changed after she realized that she loves JA. She is also possessive now, she didn’t care to congratulate Ruks. Her behaviour has also changed. Imagine after 10 years JA finds a new begum and starts ignoring Jo how she would behave. Just in few months her bahaviour has changed from very considerate and humble to just humble.

  Jo is carries herself with grace, humility and modesty. Even if she had not been from royal lineage, she would still have been a good person at heart. She would have been a good wife to her husband. She values relationships, courage, family, honesty and doing the right thing more than Wealth, Power, Status. Even when her relationship with the emperor was rocky, she did not even bother to secure herself. She’s happy the way she is, and there was no insecurity or jealousy in her. She trusts her capabilities of standing up for herself and doing the right thing when things are tough. She is very sure of herself and knows she can take care of herself.
  Ruks on the other hand is arrogant, inconsiderate, selfish and Power hungry. For her opulence and luxury is everything. She’s a bully who kept everyone else in the harem under her thumb. Jo always bothered her because she was outside her control. She was someone she could not bully. It was all about power dynamics for her. Being Emperor’s favorite meant unprecedented power. She loves to show-off and the jealousy she got from other wives amused her. They could do nothing about it. The only reason she wants Jalal for herself is because he’s the source of unlimited power. If power is taken away from her, she may lose her identity; she’s nothing without her power. She has been on the very top of the Harem for such a long time that she is alone. Her husband is her confidant in her lonely world, and she believe’s that the only way she can keep him for herself is keep his mind under her control. She does not bother about him other wise. (Remember how she completely left him on his own after Bairam Kahn’s death)I can completely understand Ruks insecurity.
  Jo was like a breathe of fresh air in Ja’s life who showed him a way of life away from the power, politics and betrayl. She fell in love with her husband , not the emperor. If Ja had been a commoner, she would have still fallen in love with him and walked with him through all times. The same cannot be said about Ruks. Jo understands that other wives have equal rights over her husband, whereas Ruks never acknowledged this fact. She always thought of other wives as show-pieces that interested her emperor for sometime, but at the end of the day the only thing constant in his life would be Ruks. Jo knows that she loves him and he loves her back, but is unsure of her relationship with Ja. It’s difficult to share your love with others. The thought of sharing him bothers her, though she knows it is not wrong.
  She did not congratulate Ruks because she was struggling with her feelings. You cannot expect someone to be so selfless. She did not bitch about her. She did not even ask Ja for assurance that he would be with her. He understood her predicament before she could say anything and replied to her. That’s the sort of understanding Ruk and Ja do not have. That’s the sort of maturity Ruks can never show. When she realised how happy he is with the news about Ruks pregnancy, she kept her feelings aside just to make sure her husband is happy and not bothered by her. She can keep her feelings aside for him; something Ruks can never do. She decided to take care of Ruks like a servant, she kept her pride aside.
