It was not easy being Arunima Sinha! – Priyamvada Kant

Petite actress Priyamvada Kant, who is currently seen in Swim Team on Channel V, was lately seen in an episodic of Tujhse Naaraz Nahi Zindagi on & TV. As seen in the episode, Priyamvada had depicted the story of Arunima Sinha.

Shooting in the snow and climbing the ice clad mountain is surely not an easy task.

We contacted the actress to know about her experience while shooting for the episode and Priyamvada says, “It was -3 degree Celsius in Manali when we had gone there for our shoot. There was snow till my waist and I fell 2-3 times. I had depicted the tale Arunima Sinha, who has a rod fixed in her right leg and her left leg is amputated. She is the first woman to climb the Mountain Everest. Arunima Sinha sets the best example for today’s youth. I take a lot of inspiration back after the shoot. This shows if a woman wants to do something, she will do it come what may. Women have started ruling all over and have proven that she needs no one to stand for herself.”

She further adds, “It was very difficult shooting with crampons weighing 5kg and the backpack weighing other 5kg. Climbing the mountain with the weight of 10kgs on me was totally not easy for me. But yes, I had an amazing time shooting. The team does so much research, treatment by the directors, everything was so good. It was a lifetime experience for me.”
