Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2 22nd October 2013 Written Episode

The Episode starts with Astha and Shlok coming downstairs. Anjali and Kalindi exchange sweets. Everyone smiles. Anjali is still angry. Shlok makes Astha wear the ring. He says this ring will always join us for the entire life. Kalindi smiles. Astha gets the ring from Kalindi. Anjali takes it and looks at it. Ajju says its 2 tolas pure gold ring. Astha makes Shlok wear it. Everyone claps as the engagement is done. Astha and Shlok greets everyone and takes their blessings. Astha touches Anjali’s feet alone. Shlok does not greet Anjali.

Shlok greets Kalindi touching her feet. Anjali is angry. Shlok looks at Astha and smiles. Kalindi and Atul gifts clothes to Anjali and Niranjan. Anjali sees the saree and tears it. She shouts whats this, and throws the saree on the floor. She shows the damaged part of the saree. Atul and Kalindi are shocked. Astha and Shlok look on. Anjali says what did you give us, a damaged saree. Kalindi says I checked it when I bought it. Anjali says do you mean I have damaged it. Anjali raises on Kalindi. Astha takes the saree and says Anjali that my mum does not lie. She says we did not buy this saree from sale, it was not damaged. Anjali says even I don’t lie.

Kalindi says you come with us, we will buy a saree for you. Niranjan calms down Anjali. Niranjan asks everyone to come for dinner. Everyone leaves. Anjali looks at Shlok and leaves.

Astha cries. Shlok comes to her. Khuda….. plays…. He wipes her tears and holds her hand. She looks upto him. He says I m really sorry. She says if I did a mistake, I m ready to tell sorry to your mum, but she insulted my parents, don’t punish me like this, I don’t want to marry…. Shlok stops her from saying. He says my love is not so weak that shakes with such a little thing, I trust you, you don’t worry, I will explain Anjali well. Anjali hears this and sees them. Shlok asks Astha to smile and hugs her. Anjali gets angry.

Kalindi and Ajju talk about Anjali. Kalindi says I m worried about Astha. Atul is quiet. Astha comes to them and says I spoke to Shlok. He promised me that he won’t let you guys get insulted. Kalindi says I want to talk to you and asks will you be able to bear Anjali’s behavior. Astha says Shlok is with me, he will take care of me and my happiness more than I do. Kalindi says Astha does not know such women who won’t change. Astha says what happened, why are you so afraid. She says you are already worried about this relation then why. Kalindi says yes, because I want to see you happy. Astha says I will be happy with Shlok. She says you made me tough to face anything in life. Kalindi says yes, I trust you but I m worried about Anjali. She says because I knew one woman who… Atul stops her. Kalindi says let me say. She says Astha I did not tell you till now as there was no need. She says this house gave me much happiness that I forgot that this is not my first marriage.

Astha is shocked. Kalindi says I don’t want that to happen with you what happened with me. She cries and says you don’t know my first marriage was a bad dream. If I think about it even today I …. They have given me so much pain. I see that woman in Anjali. Its only because of Ajju that I got rid of my past. Astha says trust the Lord, nothing will happen with me. Like Atul is wit you, Shlok will be with me who will do his duties. His mum is strict but I have full faith that I will revive the motherhood in her, no matter how much I have to work hard. I won’t fail as you all are with me. Atul smiles and says Astha you made me proud again. Astha hugs Atul. Kalindi wishes the best for Astha.

Anjali throws the sweets that Kalindi brought. Kaka sees her and says you want to break this relation going against Niranjan. Anjali says Astha will break this house’s peace which I maintained. Kaka says so you will be blamed. Anjali says I will do anything and bear anything to get that peace back. Astha talks to Shlok on phone. He says Anjali won’t do anything that would trouble you and your family. Astha asks him to call Anjali his mum. She says its not easy to come in your house. He says like you came in my life, you will come in my house too. He says I can’t tell you how much beautiful you were looking beautiful in green sari. He says its my dream to see you in red saree. Astha asks and… He describes her. Astha smiles.

They have a romantic talk. Shlok gives her a kiss on the phone. Astha is shy. He asks what happened, you did not reply. Astha says not now. He says then when. She says don’t know, I m going to cut the call now, I have much work in the morning. She smiles and kisses her teddy bear. The next morning, Astha is at the tailor’s shop. Anjali calls her and asks her to come to their house on time. Astha says yes and is surprised to see jyoti at the shop.

Precap:
Anjali scolds Astha and Shlok supports Astha. Astha asks jyoti to tell the truth what happened in Kolapur.

Read a beautiful book recently called ‘I too had a love story’. The author is Ravinder Singh, a software engineer by profession who works with a prominent IT company in India. The book is his debut novel and is based on a true event that occurred in his life. The event could have been an ordinary one that occurs in the lives of thousands of young couples who meet and get married through one of the numerous matrimonial websites like jeevansaathi.com, shaadi.com and so on, except that it took a different turn in his case and led him to discover his skill as a writer. It is dedicated to the loving memory of the girl whom the author loved, yet could not marry and begins with a very meaningful line ‘Not everyone in this world has the fate to cherish the fullest form of love. Some are born just to experience the abbreviation of it.’ There is also a beautiful line on the dedication page which says ‘Tere jaane ka asar kuch aisa hua mujh par, tujhe dhoondhate dhoondhate maine khud ko paa liya…. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come across an author in me.’
The story begins in Kolkata in March 2006 when four friends including the author working in different places reunite after their college days, and since all of them were at the marriageable age, decide to register in a matrimonial website. The author narrates that although numerous girls who fitted into the details that he had asked for responded to him but he did not find anyone who appealed to him. At last when he had almost given up hopes and had stopped browsing through the website regularly as he did earlier he suddenly received an SMS from a girl living in Faridabad who had responded to his registration in the website. After browsing through her profile in the website he called her back from Bhubhaneshwar were he was posted, and that was the beginning of his love story which began on 20th July 2006.
Ravinder and Khushi, the girl, chatted every night on the phone and the conversations went on till late at night. Khushi was working in a BPO firm in Gurgaon and used to return home late at night but Ravinder used to wait up for her return to talk to her. Gradually through the conversations both of them fell deeply in love even though they had not yet met each other. Their relationship extended to their families as well as both of them also interacted with the other family members over the phone. It was only in October when Ravinder was on his way to USA for a month and stopped over at Delhi did they finally meet. The meeting was a historic one as they were both extremely nervous before the meeting in case they found that their dream persons were not as they had imagined them to be but their doubts were soon dispelled when they actually met. In fact Ravinder found Khushi to be even more beautiful than she appeared in the pictures that she had uploaded on the website. Ravinder went to Khushi’s house and met her family members and their wedding was officially finalized. Ravinder Singh then touchingly describes an hour which they spent alone together in his hotel room which he claims to be the happiest one in his life.
The wedding date was set for the 14th of November next year but the engagement was to be on the 14th of February in Faridabad. Khushi’s parents came down to Bhubhaneshwar to meet Ravinder’s parents to fix the dates and struck an instant chord with each other. Ravinder then describes the preparations for the engagement party which was to be held in Faridabad. Ravinder’s parents were supposed to accompany Ravinder for the ceremony and both the families were looking forward to the event. Both Ravinder and Khushi were extremely excited about the engagement, especially Khushi, who enthusiastically described the dress that she was planning to wear for the ceremony to Ravinder over the phone. Ravinder and his parents had planned to reach Faridabad a couple of days before the ceremony and Khushi had also taken a few days’ leave from her office for the event. Suddenly, just the day before Ravinder and his parents’ departure, Ravinder received a phone call from Khushi’s home informing him that when she was returning home at night the day before her leave started the car in which she was travelling had met with an accident. While the driver had died instantly Khushi was in the ICU. Ravinder and Khushi had spoken to each other just before she was leaving her office and were planning to continue the conversation after she reached home and Ravinder was in fact waiting for her call when he received the ominous news.
Ravinder immediately took a flight to Delhi from Bhubhaneshwar and went straight to the hospital where she had been admitted. On reaching there he found that she was in coma and the doctors could give very little hopes of her survival. Ravinder then describes the dreadful condition of all of Khushi’s family members who had been in the midst of preparing for her engagement ceremony and also narrates his own mental condition on seeing his loved one hanging between life and death with her face and body mutilated beyond recognition. After a couple of days the doctors attending to Khushi felt that she might recover in a few days even though she was still in coma so Ravinder decided to go back to his village near Bhubhaneshwar where his parents were living and bring them with him so they could all be present when she opened her eyes. He returned home to his parents and constantly kept in touch with her family members through phone. After a few days when he heard that the doctors were a little hopeful about her recovery he started off on an overnight bus from his village for Bhubhaneshwar to book air tickets for his family.
The most touching passage in the entire book is Ravinder’s description of his bus journey which was where he had a most amazing spiritual experience. He says that it was about four in the morning and all the passengers in the bus were sleeping. He too was dozing fitfully when suddenly he opened his eyes and found Khushi sitting next to him. She was looking just as beautiful as she looked before her accident and was as loving and affectionate as she had always been. She smiled at him lovingly and put her hand on his forehead. Ravinder, who was struck dumb with surprise haltingly asked her how she had reached there when she was supposed to be in hospital. She replied with a smile that she was always with him. She then took out the ring which she had bought for him for the engagement and put it on his finger. Ravinder noticed with surprise that the ring which he had bought for her was already on her finger. She then fed him rajma-chawal which was his favourite dish and then lovingly wiped his mouth clean. Ravinder then took her in his arms and she lay there quietly for some time. She then said, ‘Thankyou for giving me the love of my life.’ Ravinder writes that he did not know how long they remained like that but he suddenly hit his head against something and was jolted into reality. He found that he was in the bus and his phone was ringing shrilly. He looked around for her but she had disappeared and he found that the ring which she had put on his finger had also disappeared. Still in a confused state he picked up the phone and found Khushi’s father on the line. In a broken voice he informed Ravinder that Khushi had left them a few minutes ago. Ravinder writes, ‘“But she was here with me a few minutes back…” I heard someone inside me screaming but not a sound came out.’
The book ends with a heartrending description of Ravinder’s own condition more than a year after Khushi’s death. Very eloquently he writes, ‘She died. I survived. Because I survived, I died everyday. I was bound by my stars to live a lonely life. Without her I felt so alone. Though the fact is that its just she who is gone and everything else is the same. But this ‘everything else’ is nothing to me……. Your friends will talk about yet another hot chick. But all the good looking girls on this planet will fail to attract you. … While working out in the gym, you will try to lift the heaviest weights. Later, standing under the shower, you will cry hard but nobody will hear you. The splashing of the shower will mask the sounds of your sobbing. You will search for and consume anything that can erase your memory. And, believe me, your life will appear worse than death.’
The book is an absolute must-read for people who love love stories and restores the faith of the readers in the existence of love which had almost got obliterated in this fast paced age of modern technology.
