In conversation with Shraddha Musale
Having been a part of Sony Entertainment Television’s CID (Fireworks Productions) for seven long years, the curly haired beauty Shraddha Musale claims that it has been quite a journey with the show.
“When I started with the serial, I was young naïve girl and was too scared to even talk to people around but now the whole team is like a family. It’s been a beautiful journey with lots of ups and downs, but overall it has been a learning experience for me,” shares the actress in a chat with us.
Although the show is about senior male cops, there are also few women around. How they get noticed? we ask. “We women make the show complete (laughs). But on a serious note, the women have managed to build their own character and the response we get from viewers, it shows that we too get noticed,” replies the confident Shraddha.
And when we ask her as to what according to her has made CID such a popular show in the country, Shradda answers after pondering for a while, “I think it’s the larger-than-life characters. Also with such simple stories, the connect with the audience is immediate. Our show has a huge fan following among both the children and elder people. And they have the belief that the CID inspectors can solve any case. It’s the attachment that has built up over the years,” she observes.
“Also even though it might look futile, but the small anecdote like Daya’s (Dayanand Shetty) door breaking abilities, love track between me and Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava) or the typical dialogues have actually worked in our favour. Also it has been a growing phase and I am sure it will continue to do so,” she adds.
Not many know that Shraddha also rides a bike and loves adventure. “Since childhood I have seen my father literally living his life on the bike. And that got me attached to the machine too. I regularly go out for bike trips and just love my bike (smiles). I would actually like to do something like Khatron Ke Khiladi to test my ability of bearing hardships and also get to do some adventurous stunts,” she maintains.
And what kind of other shows would she like to do? “I enjoy dancing so Nach Baliye and Jhalak will any day interest me. I would also like to do a glamorous negative role seeing which people would not want to change the channel when I am on-screen. Also something like an action packed role would also suit my character,” Shraddha quips with a smile.
We wish you luck girl!
