If you are in a relationship, you need to be loyal – Suyyash Rai

Suyyash Rai (Kaisa Ye Ishq Hai Ajab Sa Risk Hai ) who has been in a relationship with the sultry Kishwer Merchantt since the past three years now talks about what makes their relationship tick.

Says Suyyash, “You need to give each other time. Recently I was shooting non-stop for my upcoming Punjabi film (Love You Soniyo), but made it a point to try to spend at least five minutes with her.

Sometimes she would stay back as well. Normally we keep in constant touch through phone calls or messages. We also believe that the best way to keep the spark going is to do problem solving rather fight with each other. If you don’t take extra efforts to salvage your relationship, it just goes to show that you really don’t care.”

Although being a modern guy, Suyyash does not endorse the new theory of being in an open relationship.

“It is just bull sh**; this way you are giving license to your partner to f**k around. Another issue with open relationship is that you might get emotionally attached to the outsider as well causing further complications. If you are in relationship you need to be loyal.”

Don’t you get insecure when other guys ogle at her? “Yes, but she handles me well. But when things go overboard, I bash up those guys who trouble her. Being a Punjabi swearing is also a common occurrence.”

He goes on to say, “Although guys generally have a problem when their wives or girlfriends wearing short clothes, being a part of this industry I realize that that she will have to dress according to a particular style. I would be silly if I would expect her to wear long gowns or full clothes, for she will dress as she pleases and at the end of the day I have to manage. And especially if you have a hot girl friend, you just can’t stop her from wearing sexy outfits.”

In closing, Suyyash who plans to tie the knot with Kishwer next year avers, “I am quite happy with the fact that I have got an elder girl friend for had I got a 22 year old girl, she would have driven me nuts with her constant chatter. Kishwer on the other hand is not very demanding. She is a very understanding woman.”
