I would like to sing a duet with Vishal Dadlani: Sonakshi Sinha
Birthday girl Sonakshi Sinha will be seen making her TV debut as a judge on Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol Junior 2 (Fremantle).
The actress, a self-confessed music lover, is really kicked about being a part of the music reality show that will give talented kids a chance to showcase their vocal skills.
We got in touch with the girl as she shared a lot more about her ‘connection’ with music. Read on….
Talking about her stint as a judge, Sonakshi shared, “I am more than excited to be a judge on the show since I really love music. I will be representing the common man who enjoys music and is in awe of the young kids (smiled). I am here to add masti to the show. So rather than judging, I would be concentrating on having fun. I really appreciate music and also look forward to learning some tunes while here, not just from the judges but also from the super talented kids.”
Talking about her rather funny learning experience, the actress shared, “When I was young, I decided that I must get myself trained as a singer and got a music teacher for myself. The teacher came home, taught me four surs and then just vanished!”
When we quizzed Sonakshi the song she would like to sing for herself, she said, “Sawaar loon… from Lootera. It is one of the most beautiful compositions that I can hum all day.”
Talking about the singer she would like to do a duet with, she said, “Vishal Dadlani, any day! I think he has an amazing energy and I would love to sing with him. Considering our collaboration in Akira, I think it would be a great combination.”
We then quizzed the actress whether she had ever sung to impress a guy. “Sing to impress? No way! The guy would just run away if I sing,” laughed the actor.
The pretty actress signed off saying, “While we were shooting for Son of Sardaar, Juhi Chawla used to do her riyaaz in her room and we would just listen to her melodious voice. I guess the love for music can actually make one feel so happy.”
Way to go, girl!
