I would be happy to explore different characters and moods – Lalit Bisht
Recently we reported about the good looking and talented Lalit Bisht who played Senior Inspector Param in Life OK’s Shapath (Fireworks Productions) moving out of the show. Enjoying his time with family for Diwali, the actor spoke to us from Delhi about his decision to quit Shapath and also on his future plans.
“It has been a short, yet a very productive time with the show. This being my first show, I really got to learn a lot. All the technicalities of acting were learnt through this show. Also I got to know how a team works and overall how a show is made. The team has been supportive and fabulous and of course a special one,” smiled the actor.
We wondered if everything was so superb, what made him quit the show. “Certain things were not working out and thus I spoke to the production house on the same. And mutually we decided to part ways on a happy note. There is no animosity and I am sure that sometime we will get to work together,” replied Lalit.
So what kind of roles are you looking forward to in the near future? “Being an actor I do not want to limit myself and thus would be happy to explore all kinds of characters and moods. There is no specific choice, but I would love to try out different emotions. I had done a dark shaded character in the show, for which I got some really good feedback. So negative roles will also be interesting to tap.”
The actor started off as a model. Do you feel that it helped you in the industry? “More or less yes! They both have different exposure and benefits. I think somewhere both the aspects are related to each other. They are the different hands of the same industry. While one is more glamorous the other is a little commercialized.”
Missing his team Lalit said, “Being the youngest in the team, I was really pampered by all. The team had been so wonderful and I am really missing them. I am not super emotional as I couldn’t get to spend a lot of time with them but yes they are all very special and I am glad that I got to be with them.”
The actor got second time lucky with Fireworks Productions, as after having ‘almost’ bagged their Star Plus show, he got into Shapath instead. We asked whether he feels he can be third time lucky. “You never know (laughs). Such things are based on luck and I have no hands in it. Maybe I might be sleeping and get a call at two in the night for some role.”
And finally talking about his fans, Lalit quipped, “Being new to the show it was a challenge to blend and get a place in the viewers’ heart. But the love and support I have received from fans has motivated me to do well. I have been receiving messages about them being disappointed. But all I can say is that keep the good wishes coming.”
Hope to see you back soon Lalit!
