One of the performers from Star Plus’ new show India’s Raw Star, Mansheel Gujral who hails from Pune, this talented diva has started singing right from the age of seven. She is trained in Indian classical music as well as in Western Classical. This talented contestant has been lending her voice for various commercials and now will be seen on the small screen.

We got in a candid interview with the performer of India’s Raw Star Mansheel Gujral.

Since Honey Singh has been associated to the show so that was also one of the reasons to take up the show – I have been working in the industry from quite sometime now. I know lot of music directors and have worked before with lot of people from industry like Mickey McCleary, Amit Trivedi and many more. I have been working a lot in the industry and was also into a lot of promotions. As I have been in the industry I came to know about India’s Raw Star and even on of the Music Directors recommended me to do so and since Honey Singh has been associated to the show so that was also one of the reasons to take up the show. I uploaded my video and it went viral and then gradually I reached here.

My expectations from the show is lot of visibility and mainly lot of television presence – I have been working extensively in the industry. I have done lots of advertisements like Axis Bank, Airtel, Clinic Plus and many more. So my expectations from the show is lot of visibility and mainly lot of television presence which is not possible being a playback singer.

Everybody on the show is so open to do what they want to do in terms of their performance – It feels absolutely great. And the good thing is that he is such a humble guy, it makes so much easier and it is so much compatible kind of feeling as it is like one can do what they want to do, can express your music in your style. Everybody on the show is so open to do what they want to do in terms of their performance. So it is a very nice process of the show with a great mentor.

I have sung all type of music in English, Bollywood, Punjabi folk and even sung Jazz – I don’t have any specific genre.
