I was offered to host Jhalak but I didn’t want to be a mundane anchor- Krushna Abhishek

This season of Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (Wizcraft) claims to be bigger and better and filled with more ‘pagalpanti’. And to take the entertainment quotient higher, the channel has roped in Krushna Abhishek as the host along with Mona Singh.

When we caught up with the man, he too seemed confident of adding a lot of value to the series. “I am funny by nature but all these while I had been doing comedy as characters, but this time it is going to be just myself. The kind of masti I do in real life will be experienced by the viewers. I am abnormal all the time and that will be fun to watch (laughs). I am also getting to know a lot of myself through this show,” shared the man.

But how did he decide to take up the job as a host, we asked. “I always felt that hosting was a boring job. I had been offered Jhalak also, but I refused to host it because I thought I will never enjoy it. I can’t be seen as a dignified man just doing his lines, I am a crazy guy in real life and this show gave me a chance to be myself and have a lot of fun,” he admitted.

Going on further, Krushna added, “Also the people on the show are like family. My mama (Govinda) has worked a lot with Anu Malik so I have known him for ages; Farah (Khan) is my neighbor and my father’s rakhi sister, so I never felt like I am new to this show. Rather I feel I am sitting at my home with them having fun. I have also bonded really well with Mona, who might look prim and proper, is actually crazy like us.”

When we further grilled the actor on what can he do to entertain people, he laughed and said in his usual style. “I have done everything and I can go to any level to entertain people. I guess the only thing that is left for me is to become a cockroach or ant, which I am sure I will get to do soon in some act.”

Krushna, who is known to set the stage on fire, as a host will he be able to restrain himself from performing? “Main to perform kar deta hu. Especially if someone is dancing, I make it a point to get their song played and dance along. But now the audience has also become smart and instead of me, they take my class every episode. I indulge in a lot of fun with the audience,” averred the guy.

And finally he concluded by singing praises of himself, “With me coming in the show, viewers will get to seriously enjoy this season. They will also get to witness some never seen before stunts and a lot of freshness.”
