I want to become a superstar – Mayur Verma

Been in the industry from the past two and a half years, Mayur Verma has acted in various television shows like Kyaa Hua Tera Vaada, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, CID and Emotional Atyachar. Currently seen in SAB TV’s Jeannie Aur Juju, the talented actor goes on to talk about his journey in the industry.

Mayur says, “I belong to Ludhiana and have always aspired to become an actor. My family pushed me into business and was completely against me getting into acting. But I convinced them and came to Mumbai and within a short span of time I bagged an episodic of Emotional Atyachar. After that, my journey in this industry picked up like never before. I am happy today that I get offered such unique roles in popular shows and my family is proud of the fact.”

The handsome actor who has always been offered negative roles claims that he has acquired a niche in the genre.

He elaborates, “I pull off negative roles very well. Not that I am bad at other genres, I am a box full of talent but somehow I have never been offered to experiment. However, I really look forward to essaying a positive character in my next project I take up.”

Ask him about his aspirations and Mayur quips, “I want to become a superstar! In fact I have always been offered roles similar to what Imran Khan essays. I admire him a lot.”
