I hope that we are able to put our best foot forward and win the Jhalak trophy – Mouni Roy
Mouni Roy, the ravishing beauty is all geared up to set the stage of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on fire with her sizzling moves and steamy chemistry with her choreographer. In a conversation with us, Mouni and Punit expressed their excitement on being a part of the popular dance reality show on Colors.
On her association with choreographer Punit, Mouni stated, “This is just the beginning of our journey in Jhalak. There is still a long way to go. I am extremely happy to have Punit as my choreographer. He is a wonderful individual and a brilliant dancer.”
Talking about his partner, Punit told us, “I am really happy to be Mouni’s partner. She is beautiful and talented, and is a complete package. She is graceful and has a good stage presence too.”
When asked about her having an edge when it comes to winning the Jhalak trophy, especially because of the good track record that TV bahus have in the reality show, the girl with a smile answered, “To be honest, not really. If it was in any other season, I wouldn’t falter to say yes. But with Season7 of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, it’s not the case really. The audience is also unpredictable. Most of us are from the TV industry, Shakti, Ashish, Karan, Pooja and so many others. We really don’t know what lies ahead.”
On the strategy planned to give a tough fight, Punit exclaimed, “Today even people in the remote areas of India know what different dance styles are. So our entire strategy is to be different. Experiment a lot and bring on stage something that has never been performed on Indian television. For that matter all the different choreographers are trying their level best to research about new dance forms and cast their magical spell on-screen.”
Mouni has been a part of Zara Nachke Dikha too. So is she strong on the dancing front? A soft-spoken Mouni said, “That was 6 years back and there has been a major difference with time, on what viewers expect from dancers on reality shows. The competition is heavy and with all honesty, I am just hoping that we might be able to put our best foot forward and win this trophy.”
A very supportive Punit said, “No doubt she has the grace and love for dancing. All we need to do is brush up her skills a lot more so that we can live up to the Jhalak standard. We are looking forward to doing some kick-ass stuff, and going all the way to win that Jhalak trophy.”
In a message to all her fans, the enchanting actress said, “We are working really hard. Please love and support us. Vote for us. We are putting in our hearts and souls to entertain you guys. We genuinely hope we win.”
We wish Mouni and Punit all the very best!
