“I have to yet explore Mumbai” – Neha Bagga
Just seven months old in Mumbai, Neha Bagga talks about how she wishes to explore the city…
Mumbai is synonym to the city of dreams. It is said that people come to Mumbai to fulfill their most wanted dreams. When you think of Mumbai, all that comes in your mind is Media, Bollywood, industrial tycoons, fame, wild parties and a city that never sleeps.
Knitting such several aspiring wishes, Neha Bagga came to Mumbai seven months back to try her luck in the acting profession. Presently seen as Rajji in Colors daily Bani-Ishq Da Kalma, Neha shares her experience of her stay in Mumbai…
Which is your most preferred hangout destination in Mumbai?
Due to the time crunch, I usually end up hanging out at the nearest destinations like Infinity 2, Inorbit and Oberoi malls. And everytime I go to the mall, I never miss out spending time at the food court and experimenting with all the yummy dishes. Otherwise, I get to meet my industry friends only in parties and award functions.
What do you like the most in Mumbai?
It has to be my set, where I spend most of my time. Set against the backdrop of Punjab, the entire set is designed and built in such a way that it is very similar to Chandigarh. Not just that, most of my co-stars are Punjabi as well. Therefore, it does not give me a chance to miss my home town.
Which is the one thing that that you don’t like about Mumbai?
One thing I don’t like about Mumbai is the traffic congestion in the city and due to monsoon, the scenario has become more pathetic.
Off course, being a girl, your Mumbai exploration must have been incomplete without shopping. Which is your favorite shopping destination in Mumbai?
It’s my long time desire to visit Bandra because I’ve heard from a lot of people that it is a famous destination for shopping, where you’ll find the latest fashion, huge range of accessories, trendy clothes and everything else. Till now, I’ve just been to Lifestyle and Shopper Stop but I really wish to go to Bandra someday, probably when I get an off from shoot.
What difference are you finding between Mumbai and Chandigarh?
Chandigarh is a city where I used to wander with my friends below the magnificent blue sky, with the backdrop of a mountain. I’m quite ambiguous about Mumbai because I’m yet to explore it. (laughs)
Which are the places on your wish list that you want to visit in Mumbai?
I’m craving to visit:
Bandra- obviously for shopping purpose.
Marine Drive- as I have heard a lot about it.
Lonavala- though it is far-off Mumbai, I’ve heard that sight-seeing at Lonavala is a treat to your eyes especially during monsoon.
