says Gaurav Chaudhary who is seen playing the role of Parmeet in Bani – Ishq Da Kalma….
The dashing actor Gaurav Chaudary who was seen in Do Saheliyaan – Kismat Ki Kathputliyaan, Kayamath and Sapno Ke Bhanwar Mein, is now seen playing the role of Parmeet in Damini K Shetty’s daily soap Bani – Ishq Da Kalma on Colors. Here he talks about his journey in this industry, being a part of Bani – Ishq Da Kalma, on what made him take up this role and much more.
Let’s have a look on what he said…
How has your journey been so far in this industry?
I have hardly done three shows but they were good enough. So accordingly I should say that my journey in this industry was pretty good. I have seen lots of ups and downs but they are part and parcel in one’s life. I was waiting for something really nice to come my way. It has been a year that I did my last show and now I have taken up Bani – Ishq Da Kalma. It is a very promising show and I have started to shoot for the show already. I am looking forward to the feedback of the audience towards my character.
How are you feeling being a part of this show?
I love this show as I am following the show from the very start. The concept of the show is very creative, out of the box and very realistic too. When I heard the story I wanted to take it up as I was influenced by the storyline. I am feeling really good to be a part of this show, I hope this character of Parmeet that I am playing brings me lot of luck in the acting field.
What made you take up this show?
Damini K Shetty came up with a very strong and promising concept. I liked the concept when I read it and hence I thought I would take it up. Also, Colors as a channel to work with was a good opportunity for me. I was waiting for a good project to come my way and this was the perfect one I feel.
Are you comfortable playing a married man’s role in the show?
I feel that the concept of the show should be strong. I don’t feel there is any harm playing a married man’s role. As an actor we should try and explore acting as much as we can. I feel every actor should be ready to essay any type of role. But what I like the most about this show is the concept and the character that I have taken up. It is a family drama and one day the wedding had to happen.
How similar are you to Parmeet in your real life?
Well, I am pretty much similar to Parmeet in real life. Parmeet as a character is shown to be very much genuine and soft-hearted. Even I am the same in my real life too – very much easy going and more of a workaholic.
Are you a regular viewer of the show Bani – Ishq Da Kalma?
Yes, from the very first episode, I am following this show. Even if I used to miss on any of the episodes I used to watch it on YouTube. Now after my entry, I watch the show regularly to find out my performance, my emotions, dialogues and the way I am projecting myself as it is very important.
Since you have already started shooting for the show, how is it working with your co-actors and the production house?
Both the lead girls are new in this industry but despite this they are doing a fabulous job. Shefali and Neha are very hardworking girls and their work is speaking for them. The senior actors no doubt are amazing in the show. The show mostly has a Punjabi background and as we all know that Punjabis are fun loving people, so I love their company too.
The production house is new but very professional. It is their first show and they are doing really good on their part. Very calm, to the point and very honest towards their show. The entire crew is very easy going, supportive and helpful.
Out of the shows that you have done so far, which one was the best according to you?
Honestly speaking the shows that I have done in the past did not work for too long. Maybe my luck factor was not good enough then. So I cannot personally judge as to which was the most best show according to me as I did not get a chance to work for a long period in any show.
What type of roles are you willing to play in the future?
Roles that appeal to me would be on my wish list. Nowadays we see so much of youth oriented shows which are very much promising. So I would like to do something like that. If we see even nowadays then movies like Fukrey, Rock On and the classic Dil Chahta Hai among many others, are doing wonders. Such opportunities if come my way, I would be more than happy.
So are you looking forward to work in movies too?
Yes why not, if I get a good opportunity than I will surely take it up. Till now, I haven’t got anything of my interest. I am a hardworking guy and I hope to get something of my interest soon.
How did acting happen to you?
It was my decision to get into acting. Basically, I am a software engineer, but my father always wanted me to become a news anchor. Delhi has all the news channel headquarters and hence he wanted me to get into anchoring. I was just one step ahead of him and I planned to come down to Mumbai and get into acting. I initially started with modelling and that is how I started getting offers.
If you wouldn’t be an actor than you would be?
I would definitely be a Software Engineer.
Gaurav in one sentence?
Very confident and hardworking in life.
