The fit and fine actor Gautam Rode who plays Saras in Sphere Origins’ popular show Saraswatichandra on Star Plus’ relates himself to the character of Saras. He looks forward to do something in the health industry as apart from acting Gautam is very much keen on taking up something related to food and health.

Here is Gautam speaking to us about his future plans, his bond with the co-stars and much more…

How has life changed after portraying Saras?

Life has been good. The show and the character have worked well so it’s a happy zone.

What kind of bonding you share with everyone off-screen?

We all work together for 12 hours each day and we share a good rapport with each other.

Fans were waiting for the union of Saras and Kumud (Jennifer Singh Grover) on-screen and now as it has happened, so what kind of feedback you are getting from them?

They have always wanted to see more scenes and more romantic moments of Saras and Kumud and it would be coming in future as well. They all are very happy that Saras and Kumud are finally together now and that’s the big thing. I have got feedback from them like they are happy and excited to see both these characters together and they were waiting for this to happen so now they are happy and excited to see this.

What kind of challenge you have faced so far?

Challenges keep coming our way in whatever we do. There was no challenge as such while portraying Saras. I was very comfortable playing this character from the very beginning because I can relate myself to the character. So, there was no challenge for me as such which I have to overcome. I am enjoying playing this character as I have to be myself and not like other person.

The show has completed a year now. How has been the journey throughout?

It’s been a great journey throughout with too many ups and downs regarding the show but we have overcome everything and now completed a year so it’s a big achievement for all of us. The crew, the actors and everybody associated with the production house are happy that the show has completed a year of its telecast.

Your biggest achievement being in this industry?

When people know you and appreciate your work then it’s a biggest achievement. So, now people know me as an actor and they like my work so it’s the biggest achievement for me.

We have seen you acting as well as anchoring. What do you enjoy doing the most?

I enjoy doing acting because I enjoy playing, living and developing a character. It’s not me but still I am portraying the character of Saras which makes you feel important as an actor and I also feel good about it.

What are your future plans? Anything else which interests you other than acting?

Health interests me! I would like to do something in the health industry. Nothing is planned as such but I would like to do something in terms of food and health. Let’s see what comes my way.

Keep up the good work Gautam!
