“I do not ask for gifts from my brother” – Krystle Dsouza

Rakshabandhan is all about a relationship that a brother and sister have, the most special, the most treasured and the most pure form of relationship. The actual meaning of Rakshabandhan which is obviously known to all of us is ‘a relation, a bond between a brother and sister, wherein he promises to protect her from all the evil, eternally’.

Raksha Bandhan is one occasion which is celebrated every year with so much of enthusiasm and affection. And all the years that each one of us ties a Rakhi to our brothers, appends to the everlasting memories that we will cherish. These memories in life are so much like cherries on a cake, where each one you eat, tastes amazingly delicious.

This festival of love, happiness and bonding between brothers – sisters is just round the corners. When the world is celebrating the festival then how can our actors of television remain behind in celebrating this special festival?

As we celebrated Friendship Day week, similarly we are also celebrating Rakshabandhan week. Today, in stock we have a very special and extremely good looking brother-sister pair with us. They are none other than Krystle Dsouza, currently seen in Sony TV’s Ek Nayi Pehchaan, and her brother Keith Dsouza.

We got in touch with Krystle to find out what special bond she shares with her brother and how important he is in her life. Read on!

Raksha Bandhan is approaching soon. So what gift are you expecting from your brother Keith?

“I do not ask for gifts from my brother specifically because he does not live here in Mumbai with us. He lives in abroad for most of the time. But whenever he comes back home, he takes me for shopping and gets me gifts for all the occasions and festivals together. He will be like this is your Diwali gift, this is your Christmas gift, this is your Rakshabandhan gift and now you go and die (laughs aloud).”

And what kind of bond do you share with him?

“Our love for each other is unconditional. We love each other way too much. He is a little shy guy and I am a total crazy girl. So whenever he comes down to Mumbai, I make sure I take him for clubbing and parties because I am a big time party animal.”

It is a known fact that your brother is not with you most of the time. So what do you do when he is not around you?

“I really miss him a lot. I miss him so much that I sleep in his room whenever he is not around. It is like I have shifted into his room with all my belongings leaving my pink room behind. I sometimes even wear his clothes just to feel closer to him. So, definitely I will miss him on this Rakshabandhan also. And yes, whenever he will come back, I am planning a good dinner treat for him. I just want to say that I really love you Keith and I miss you.”
