“I am very happy being a part of this show.”:Dheeraj Dhoopar
We in talks with Dheeraj Dhoopar, the new Prem of Sasural Simar Ka…
We got in touch with Dheeraj Dhoopar who replaced Shoaib Ibrahim aka the original Prem in Rashmi Sharma’s daily show Sasural Simar Ka on Colors. Here’s what he had to say…
How is it feeling being a part of Sasural Simar Ka?
Its a good feeling. Prem is a popular character of a very popular show Sasural Simar Ka, so I am happy being a part of it. I am looking forward to the response from the audience.
What have you to say about the show?
Well, truly speaking I haven’t followed the show much. But how much ever I have, I have enjoyed it and it is one of the top shows on Indian television today. The show is doing pretty well on the TRP charts too.
How did you get the show?
It was simple. I got a call from the production house and I went for the audition. Luckily I cracked it and that is how I am a part of the show now (smiles)
Since you are a replacement for Shoaib Ibrahim who essayed the role of Prem, will you be able to do justice to the role?
Well the creatives are helping me a lot as well as the co-actors who are very supportive so I am getting into the character now. I am trying very hard and I think hard work eventually pays. I hope that I try to do total justice to the character and that the audience accepts me as they accepted Shoaib.
Do you think that playing the role of Prem is easy?
It is not about easy or difficult, its just that how well you perform. In every show, each character is very important be it a cameo role or the lead or supportive. I believe each character needs hard work. Every role comes with a challenge and I have accepted this challenge.
How do you wish to portray this character?
I am just going to be myself. I am taking the inputs from the creatives and my co-actors which I feel will be helpful for me.
How has your journey in this industry been so far?
My first show was Swarg which was on Colors and I am lucky that once again I have got a chance to work with the same channel. I have done shows like Behenein, Mrs Tendulkar, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge etc too. My journey so far has been fantastic as I got to work with superb people be it production houses or co-actors. I have enjoyed each and every show.
