“I am still a part of Maharana Pratap.” – Rajshri Thakur Vaidya
Things have been sorted out and Rajshri Thakur Vaidya will continue to play Jaywantabai in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap.
After reading the reports of her quitting the show we called Rajshree Thakur and sounding tired and weary she answered our early morning call and upon enquiring on her health said, “I am down with fever and feeling rather weak…” she trailed off.
However, now that we had woken her up from her slumber we asked her whether this was the reason she was quitting Maharana Pratap, the popular show on Sony TV and she surprised us with her answer, “I am not quitting the show. I am still a part of Maharana Pratap,” said the talented actor who plays Jaywantabai, mother to Mahrana Pratap.
Then why has it been reported that she was planning to quit and that the production house was looking for replacement? “See, I had some health related issues and other problems which are now sorted out. The shoot is out of town on the borders of Gujarat and travelling to that place, going up and down was hectic. The place where we shoot is very hot and all this ended up affecting my health and the weakness that followed was stressful. The other option was to stay there for long which meant that I had to stay away from my home and family and managing both home and work was becoming tedious,” she explained.
So have the problems been sorted out now? “Yes. I was just thinking of leaving the show, not decided on it, but then just yesterday I had a meeting about this and everything is okay now. Things have worked out smoothly and the scheduling too is in place now and we will be working according to it.”
Currently, the track does not need her to be at the shoot since it is focusing on the young Pratap (Faisal l Khan) and the small girl Ajabdehi and their love track which is giving Rajshri enough time to recuperate, “Since the shoot does not focus on me at present, I am not needed to go there now and in fact I am getting time to recover from my ill health,” concludes Rajshri.
We wish Rajshri a speedy recovery and hope that she resumes shoot soon.
