How was your experience auditioning for the show Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi?

Ekta Kapoor spotted me in a musical in Delhi where I was performing. Then I got a call from Mumbai saying that Ekta Kapoor saw you in a musical and she really liked you. I was asked to come for the look test to Mumbai. I was not at all serious about auditions, mein masti mein audition dene chali gayi socha kuch nahi hone wala. Later I got a call about getting selected for the show. For a while I just couldn’t believe when I heard this for the first time. I asked that person again are you sure, I am Radhika Madan he was like yes Radhika you are selected for the role. I was happy that my life changed in three days.

How excited are you for working with such a big banner and experienced people like Sarita Joshi , Gauri Pradhan Tejwani?

I am privileged to get such a show. It is like a dream come true. All my co actors are very supportive and kind, though they are experienced actors but they are very down to earth. We all work as a team; I share a very good bonding with them. They actually act as inspiration for me Ekta Kapoor is a sweet heart to me.

Share something about your character in the show?

Basically it’s a male centric show. My character in the show is of a bubbly girl and simple girl who believes in love and commitment but is unaware of his affection and hence does not reciprocate.

Do you relate to your character?

No not at all because in real life I am a tom boy, I am not girlish. I am very straight forward person, if I feel something I will say it on the face.

What about the chemistry between you and Shakti on-screen and off-screen?

It’s amazing he really made me feel comfortable. Normally experienced actors throw tantrums but he is very supportive. If I face any difficulty he always helps me. The chemistry we share of screen is beautiful, we pull each others leg and this makes our on-screen chemistry look more appealing and attractive for the audience.

As you are from dancing background do you face any difficulties in acting?

It is very difficult for me because I am completely new in this field. I am giving my 100 percent. Everyday is like a new journey for me.

What interests you more dancing or acting?

I think dancing because dancing is my passion, it makes me feel happy. I love dancing in my life ,I can’t stop dancing. Even though I am acting I dance when I get free time in between shoots, nothing is really exciting than dancing for me.

You like dancing, so if you ever get a chance to participate in the reality shows like Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa will you grab that opportunity?

I am super excited for accepting the offers for reality shows. I always dream’t of participating in a reality show as a choreographer but now I will participate as a contestant which is even more exciting. I want to participate in a dance reality show anyways I will be going for a dance training in August in New York.

Which is your favorite dance form and who is your favorite dancer in Bollywood?

I don’t like Bollywood because main thumke nahi laga sakti. I like hip hop, jazz, belly dancing those are my favorite. I took training from Ashley Lobo’s dance academy. My favorite dancer in Bollywood is Hrithik Roshan, he is amazing.

You are a Delhi based girl and you are new to Mumbai, what do you like about Mumbai?

Honestly speaking I like Mumbai more than Delhi. I adore this city. I feel Delhi is very Thanda and Mumbai has certain spark in it. Mumbai is comparatively faster than Delhi. When I came here I was like this is what we call a city. When I came back to Delhi from Mumbai I felt it very dumb and banjara city, I started missing Mumbai. People in Delhi don’t have that spark in them as people have it in Mumbai. One thing I like about Mumbai is it doesn’t sleep.

In future what kind of a role would you prefer?

I have not thought about anything yet. I just want to go with the flow. But I would like to take up anything challenging which nourishes my acting skills.

A message you want to pass on to your fans?

I hope and I keep entertaining the audience. I live up to their expectations. We all are working hard and we expect you to watch this show.

We wish Radhika all the best for her debut show!
