“I am open to anything that makes my heart and mind click!” – Rithvik Dhanjani
The energetic TV star is waiting for the right offer to come his way and till that time is happy performing at various events with his partner Asha Negi.
Rithvik Dhanjani looks relaxed as he talks about his future plans. Now that he and his partner Asha Negi have quit Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta, the duo are excited about taking a much deserved break and spending some time travelling. “Yes, both me and Asha love travelling and we need it the most now,” says Rithvik as he reveals his plans of almost a month long vacation. “I am going to US first for a 10 day work cum holiday trip and then in the last week of March, me and Asha will avail of the Nach Baliye prize which was a trip to Australia.”
The couple after winning the dance reality competition Nach Baliye season 6 on Star Plus is much in demand to perform at various events. “We have been performing at various events everywhere and it is fun. The last event we did was the Star Plus Holi that we shot for.”
With his commitment to various shows will Rithvik be seen in fiction shows or is consciously trying to keep away from it all? “Fiction has its own charm and non-fiction has its own charm and I am waiting for the right thing to come to me. There is no conscious decision as such and I am open to everything that is coming my way. Currently, we had to take up the events offered since right now is a good time to do such shows. Also since we both love travelling and we both need a break so might as well do them now.”
Elaborating more on the same Rithvik who has been quite a good host and anchor says there is no dearth of offers, “There are lot of things coming my way but I need to be a bit specific and choose right so let me see what I choose next. I don’t want to talk much about it till it happens but if it happens than I will definitely be in a position to give you more details. Amongst the fiction shows that are offered to me, I am open to anything that makes my heart and mind click. When it comes to non-fiction shows I am definitely very addicted to non-fiction by now and I really love anchoring and dancing and think it is quite a lot of fun. I had done an episode for Yeh Hai Aashiqui and had a really great time shooting for it and I really loved the show so when I was offered the role of an anchor I said why not? I was anchoring Yeh Hai Aashiqui even as I was doing Nach Baliye and Pavitra Rishta so I think I love anchoring.”
Many of his contemporaries have got film offers and Rithvik too seems to be heading that way but is not in a hurry to take up just about anything that comes his way, “I am getting quite a few film offers too but I have politely said ‘No’ to them because they were not something that would strike my heart or give a click, none of them made me feel to just go and grab it. It has to be a right script, with a right director and for the right banner. I am very precise when I am choosing the offer whether it is TV or Films.”
He wants to focus on his career and even marriage will have to wait, “We don’t have any plans for the next 2 -3 years. We may get engaged but marriage will have to wait. I think I am still too young to get married and have quite a few plans before I take the plunge. Even Asha has her own plans which I will never want to interfere and she wants to take her time.”
Well, we wish the best for this young couple.
