In this chat with us, he speaks about his role, luck and much more. Read on!
It is your first venture if we talk about major GECs. How is it?
The Buddy Project was also very close to me. My director Omi Daiyya was very close to me. But if someone back then had asked me what role you exactly want to do, I would have said a romantic role. Fortunately, after The Buddy Project, I got the opportunity to be a part of Mere Rang Mein Ranganewali. The best part is that I got that opportunity from Rajshri Productions. Honestly, I had never expected something so big like this. It was my first time audition and then never got a call from Rajshri. Then out of nowhere I got a call from them and it clicked. I am glad that I got this. I am literally blessed. I will give my cent percent to live up to the level of Rajshri.
Getting a chance to work with seasoned actors in one show is something that not everyone gets. How does it feel?
I wanted to become an actor since I was a kid but it was just unexpected thing to work with people like Mahesh Thakur, Alok Nath, Renuka Shahane and Suchitra Bandrekar. I have grown up seeing their films and shows. Suddenly I am told to work with them, I was nervous. All of them are such veteran and experienced actors. They made me feel so comfortable in spite of knowing that I am very new to all of this. The best part is they guide you. As an actor, everyone I am sure would want guidance from them. It is just like a learning process for me. We got so friendly to each other that we talk and joke around like friends. I am just awestruck about Renukaji. She is beautiful, so humble. I am feeling so bad that I never got an opportunity to share the same screen space.
Your take on the title of the show…
From the promo, it is clearly seen that Radha and LD indulge into a fight, unknowingly get married, I fall for her post the wedding. It thus justifies the title – Mere Rang Mein Raganewali.
We wishes Samridh Bawa all the luck!
