I am a very introvert person in real life: Ekta Kaul
Actress Ekta Kaul in conversation with us about her entry in Sony Pal’s popular show Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi.
Actress Ekta Kaul, who was last seen in Sony TV’s popular show Bade Acche Lagte Hai, is all set to enter Sony Pal’s Ek Rishta Aisa Bhi post the tragic incident of Soniya’s death.
Ekta has been roped in to play the lead opposite Rahul Sharma. She is enjoying shooting for the show and happy being a part of the show. While Ekta has always played serious roles earlier, this time she will be playing a different character and adding colors of happiness in the life of Raghav (Rahul Sharma) post Soniya’s (Preeti Chaudhary) death.
Talking about her character and experience of shooting with the team so far, she said, “I am playing the character of Simi who is very bubbly, chirpy and a fun loving girl. She is just like a little kid who plays lot of pranks. She is very positive and energetic. She enters Raghav’s life who has lost his wife in an accident. This is how the story will proceed. I am a very introvert in my real life. I am very quiet in my real life but I do enjoy my life and have fun. I have shot only for two three days for now and it’s been a great experience so far. The environment is very good and healthy to work. I am enjoying shooting with everyone and we have lots of fun while shooting too.”
It’s not always easy for an actor to step into someone else’s shoes. We asked Ekta whether she feels it difficult and what made her opt for the show. She shares, “The concept and the story made me opt for the show. The girl who was playing the character of Soniya, had already left her impact. Its going to be difficult to step into her shoes and make your place. I am not trying to compete with anyone rather I am trying to make my own space.”
Ekta, who has been a part of dance reality show like Jhalak and recently seen in Box Cricket League, made us wonder whether she would be keen for doing more reality shows in future. She said, “Right now my concentration is on fiction shows but after this I can think of doing it. Right now I am just focusing on my work and my sister’s wedding preparations. I am focused towards that. I am kind of busy and satisfied.”
