I am a ‘non-problematic actor’ – Alan Kapoor
Alan Kapoor, who has mostly played the ‘lover boy’ roles to élan, is happy with the role of the paranormalist that he essays in Colors’ long-running show, Sasural Simar Ka (Rashmi Sharma Productions).
Says the actor, “This role in Sasural Simar Ka definitely breaks the lover boy image that I carried. Having said this, I had recently played the main negative in Sony TV’s Encounter. But to play a psychiatrist and psychologist, is something different. I have to look and talk very differently, and this gives me a kick. Also, the sequences where in get hypnotized were tough to shoot, as I had to give the perfect expressions.”
Alan who played the lead in Rashmi Sharma’s recently concluded show on Sony PAL, Piya Basanti Re feels he is glad to be working with the team again. “I am a non-problematic actor, and go about doing my work well. I also believe that if my work is good, I will surely be repeated by a production house. I am happy that I did not have any idle time between my shows Piya Basanti Re and Sasural Simar Ka. I got to work again in just 10-12 days, and that’s good for any actor. Rashmi Sharma Productions is a great place to work in, and I am enjoying every bit of working here.”
The young lad is also happy that he has gotten a great response from the loyal fans of Sasural Simar Ka. “The fans pages of Simar, Prem, Roli, Siddhant are all praise for me and love my character. I am happy that I am being accepted by all the fans of the show. Also, my fans have been telling me that this is my best role so far.”
Ask him if he misses the element of ‘romance’ in his track, as his character (Amar) is busy trying to solve Simar’s problems by trapping the fake Roli, he states, “Yes, you can say that. But you never know, if the makers like my work and if my character continues to get appreciated, I might have a lady love in future.”
Alan, we wish you luck!!
