“I am a lot like Raavi”- Aanchal Munjal
We in conversation with Aanchal Munjal from Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi on Sony TV
What message do you have for teenage girls who like Raavi fall ill while trying to lose weight? Size zero is after all in nowadays.
Stay fit. Please don’t do crash dieting like Raavi. Remember that we both live to eat and eat to live. Please don’t try to be like Raavi. She is trying to be size zero for a guy who has challenged her to do so. Exercise (but don’t over-exercise) to lose weight but please don’t starve yourself.
For some (as in the case of Raavi) it may be more difficult to lose weight than others. However often people don’t understand that and poke fun at those who can’t lose weight fast. Weight loss after all differs from body to body. Please comment.
For Raavi it may be tough to lose weight. However it isn’t tough for Aanchal to lose weight. People should understand that everyone can’t lose weight at the same rate. Each person after all has a different metabolic rate.
Do you think you should lose weight?
I have gained weight after joining this show as I just don’t have time to exercise. I don’t eat the food served on the sets. My mom packs nutritious lunch for me. My mom gives me everything to eat. However I try to avoid junk food. If I have had junk food, the next day I have plenty of fruits.
What has been your most memorable moment till date while essaying this role?
My most memorable moment while enacting Raavi was when she puts chilly spray on the face of a miscreant who was chasing her. Her parents consoled her with a hug. They knew that their daughter wasn’t at fault. My real mom is as understanding as my reel mom. Had I been in Raavi’s place I would have reacted in the same way.
In which class are you in now?
I will give my Class X exams this year. I have already appeared for three exams. I will give the next two subjects whenever I am prepared. Right now I have no time. Since my track is on I am shooting 25 to 26 days a month.
It must be tough to balance studies and acting…
No it isn’t tough. My passion is to act. So I have to pursue acting. I am however not neglecting my studies in the process. I am lucky that my mom gives me no pressure in anything I do.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I just can’t plan. In fact whenever I plan something the very opposite happens. I would however like to be a part of the entertainment industry in the creative team or as an actress.
Did you prepare to essay Raavi’s role?
I didn’t have to prepare. I am a lot like Ravi. Whenever I get a scene I think what I would have done if I was in Raavi’s place and enact it.
Which historical character would you like to play given the opportunity?
Oh my God! No! I am just into the modern times. Playing a historical character would however be a challenge. Also my Hindi would improve in the process.
